Ratchet & Clank PS2 Collection on PS3?

Do you think it would be worth it to have them? I really, really wish it was, but Insomniac don't own the series, Sony does, and they have to put it on a collection. You think this is a good idea?

I've emailed Sony about it and they said they were considering it and might if there is enough want for it, so get emailing and post here!

Yes, I agree. That is my favourite Ratchet and Clank game and I remember how addicted to it I was back on the PS2, so I would love to see a HD version with trophies :D

I would definitely purchase if they do something for the series like they did for God of War, as I never really got to play through the games when they were first released.

i think SONY has really dropped the ball with marketing their older titles... they have this one step forward-two steps back mentality. case in point: with the PSONE Classics they release a string of some of the best games such as Castlevania, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear and Final Fantasy but then nothing. there hasn't been a decent game since FFVIII and that one wasn't even that great. sure, FFIX is coming soon but there should be so many more good games out!
the system has been out for like 4 years already and we've got like what, 25 Greatest Hits titles? why not up the production and add more? keep releasing them at low prices so that more and more people can buy them!
also, they released the excellent GoW Collection at a really really good price point, but then nothing again! why has there been no news whatsoever about any others? i understand if they can't release games produced by other companies (i.e. a Final Fantasy Collection probably won't happen) but how about Ratchet and Clank? Metal Gear Solid? Jak and Daxter? supposedly Team Ico is making one but that won't be til like mid-2011!!!

i only say these things because i love SONY so much. i really wish someone up top would push everyone into doing more with the great resources they already have.

Yes, definitely. And why, you may ask? Well..

1) Up Your Arsenal is my number one favourite game of all time
2) I have all of the [Insomniac] R&C games in my collection
3) I have put more time into these games than any other game besides the online multiplayer of MW2 (shameful).
4) Trophy support would be amazing and I would go for platnium on everyone, since I've completed all the games 100% anyway!

I would like to see aratchet & clank collection it was one of my favorite shooter/platform game I've played all the ones i could get but i think that it will only have the first and going commando because up your arsenal had multi-player and that means they will have to redo the online but if they do bring with it its probably going to take off online also in up your arsenal they probably take out the secret sly cooper demo but that's obvious :P

Sounds good. Sony was asking people on which games they would like to see remastered.

Insta-buy for me. Being able to play all the R&Cs on my PS3 in a bundle with improved graphics and trophies sounds like a great idea, they need this to do this for more games. Some may see it as milkage, but I think it would be a great idea.

This would be a day 1 purchase for me, Up Your Arsenal was my favorite game from last gen and I would love to replay all of them again!

I miss Going Commando. Upgrading the weapons took so LONG and the secret boss took so long to beat. Loved every second.

Yeah I'd buy it, but one thing i'd really want is the ability strafe in the first one like all the other ones.

That would be awesome, I've been trying to find the original Ratchet and Clank in stores here for a while, but PS2 games are getting harder and harder to find. If they release a PS3 version that be even better.

It would be cool,I just don't want Sony to get into the habit of releasing collections. Not that I don't love old games, but would rather have new games more. PS2 had it's time in the sun. It was a great system with almost every game in the world on it. If Sony makes the team ICO collection and Ratchet collection, then people are going to want a Jak and Daxter Collection and then want capcom to do a Devil May Cry collection, then have Ubisoft do a Prince of Persia collection, and so forth. Trilogies were huge last generation.

This has to be the best idea ever created. Just leave out Size Matters cause that sucked...But no the first 3 RAC games on PS3 with trophys would be Qwarktastic!

You seem to be missing the point. A collection is indeed a collection of games, therefore the (3? 4?) PS2 R&C's would be compiled in a package for a budgetary MSRP.

Team ICO Collection

Devil May Cry Collection (I can dream, right?)

Ratchet and Clank Collection

Metal Gear Solid Collection (They have the one for the PS2 but my PS3 isn't BC. I really want to play a remastered MGS3)
