I was just wondering, r other PS3 owners dissapointed with the Ratchet and Clank Demo? I played through the demo and the only thing that I noticed being better was the graphics by a little, but the game play was still the same. I'm a little dissapointed. What r ur thoughts? R u still going to buy it after playing the demo?gimlifnThe game play is suppose to be the same since Insomniac went back to their roots because the R&C fans demanded it. By the way. Do you have a HDTV? Because the graphics are better than RFOM.
Of course the gameplay is the same. It's Ratchet & Clank. It's the same reason Gran Turismo is pretty much exactly the same as the original. Don't change what's practically perfect. Besides, a 10 minute segment of gameplay is nowhere NEAR enough to judge an entire R&C game. The fun lies in the hilarious story, the item collection, the great gameplay, the crazy weapons, the RPG customization, and the immense replay value.
What the demo DID do is show how great the graphics are. There are so many subtle details and the environment is just so vibrant that it's hard not to be impressed. It just solidified my decision to pick up the game on day one.
[QUOTE="snwboardn08"]what demo? where did you get it. If its on PSN im going to feal really stupid cause i didnt see it.aznfool07
You can get it at gamestop.
yeah I got it, it rocks!!!!! and ive never played R&C...this dude up their "HOST" needs to realize, the demo coming out nex week is going to be more polished and better than the gamestop one..however, the gamestop demo is magnificant, so I am dying to see how they can make it better...plus it R&C...its like mario, same stuff but AAA evrytime lol
I have a 1080p hdtv hooked up via HDMI and the graphics looked good but it just did not wow me. But maybe its because I'm getting numb to all the great graphics games out there. The more I played the demo, the more I liked it, but I still don't plan on getting it. The Orange Box will keep me busy along with Uncharted and Assassins Creed.gimlifn
Funny you'd say that. While the graphics didn't disappoint me, I still don't think they lived up to the screenshots. It's still one of the best looking games out there, and the framerate was silky smooth. But even on my brand new Samsung 1080p TV, they didn't quite compare to the stuff I saw online. But unlike you, I will be buying this puppy on launch day. :)

Did you try to put your Samsung in Game mode?
Ratchet and Clank Rocks, Adventure games don't necessarily have to have new moves or tricks to keep it interesting. Games like this come from the level designs themselves. I think people need to wake up and realize what makes a good game. All the other adventure games in the series were top notch, so there comes a point where it has to remain. The same with Donkey Kong adventure games and Mario.
Not to start system wars, but it's also the reason why 360 is somewhat lame, it has no adventure games really.
I am not fanboy so don't call me out on it

It is no system seller of a game but it's still really well done and fun. It's extremely polished and exactly what I expect from a Platformer!!!!
