I tried the new demo for R&C, both me and my kids thought it was pretty great, so we're putting it on our must buy list. Having said that, I would like to know, from the fans of the series, if the PS2 versions of R&C are anything like the PS3 version?

I'm contemplating getting one or two of them, seeing as how cheap they are to pick up now. Another thing, how many versions are there? Thanks in advance.

Four days ago I went out to the local used game/movies/music store(much better prices than gamestop) and i picked up 3 out of the 4 ratchet and clanks fort he ps2 for 10 bux each, so far I've up almost 6 hours into the original ratchet and clank. The game is amazing, I highly suggest you go out and buy it used!

I'd recommend you get the second game (Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando) and if you can, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (third of the franchise).

The first one is pretty fun too, but it's a bit outdated in my opinion.

Deadlocked is a big no-no, it changed the Ratchet series for the worst with just repetitive fighting over, and over, and over..

theres actually 5

1:Ratchet & Clank

2:R&C: Going Commando

3:R&C: Up Your Arsenal

4:Ratchet: Deadlocked

5:R&C: Size Matters (PSP Only)

This series starts off great and gets even better, until the fourth game (deadlocked) which was terrible. As for the PSP version, it was decent for a portable game but the gameplay for this type of game really needs two analog sticks. In conclusion i highly recomend the first three games and obviously R&CFuture: Tools of Destruction, when it is released.
