Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters Crashing

I recently bought Ratchet and Clank and have just reached the Kalidon level. I soon as I try the race the game crashes. i've tried it multiple times and everytime it crash's at the same spot. Is there anything that I can do to fix it or should I return it?
