Ratchet Review ] Is it really worth losing time in this crappy site?

as i said in the title.. is it? its been going downhill ever since PS3 came out.. but now they just went really to far. giving a 7,5 score to a game that in every other DECENT websites give 9+/10 is just mediocre.. i hope they really are getting some money for their ass's cuz they're in really bad shape now.. why is it worth coming here if you cant get a fair score on a game. gamers comme here because at some point, gamespot was a great site to check out game info, reviews and previews. gamers comme here and see a game with 7.5 score and they're most likely not buying it unless they know what the games about and what it stands for. im really sad with the path this game site has chosen :s now they just got their ass's owned by microsoft. does it comme with good dental care? all of this is to say that, before you make a choice on buying or not buying a game.. i suggest not comming here to help your choice.. I know this place is run by lemmings, but dont let that stop you from at least looking at a fewgame previews and such. Just the review system sucks is all.

I agree with you completely but expect to be modded for this post. The demo alone was enough to make you want to buy this game. Any website thatgives a Tony Hawk game a 10/10can't be taken seriously.The chances are looking very good for them to slate MGS 4 it might get an 8.0 it it's lucky if the current trend continues

Yeah i don't really pay much attention to the review scores on GS anymore, they seem 'off' compared to when ive played the actual games.

And the laughs are kinda worth it. The bad guys always look cool for a little. And their fun to play with. But they freeze to death when its all over and done, or something like that. lol

i agree 100%. it just seems that they have something against sony. i dont no y. mabye money?? every sony xclusive that comes out, you can expect it to have a mediocre score on gamespot. watch, they will give uncharted get a 7 and mgs4 a 8. i think its just theit hate 4 sony, so they go and find rubbish faults. mass effects gonna get a 9.5 and i cant even see why.

If you can't see how Mass Effect could deserve a high score...Well then you are either wearing fangoggles or you have never played a Bioware title before.

Would you prefer if they just wrote a review, but decided the score by having an official poll in the appropriate forum. See what i did there? If they only scored games exactly like other sites or like how much you think it deserves based on expectations there would be no point in reviewing it.

The part about you saying that someone paid me to write this was a little amusing. Especially since there are thousands of people around here who seem to be a part of Sony's internet defence force.

I don't understand why people care so much about reviews from sites. I mean if you think a game looks good and you want to get then go out and get it and play it for yourself. If I got a game based on reviews rather then actually playing them for myself I would have half as many games in my collection.

I don't mind the fact that the score is low per-se,everyone has a difference of opinion. What annoys me is that the review is half-assed at best and really doesn't justify the score at all.

Yeah, i love how he contradicts himself in the review. He actually called it a "great game", yet he gave it a 7.5.... huh? worst. review. ever.

exactly...you can't take what one person says to heart so much...it's not your fault they're slightly lost (IMO)...although complaining makes you feel better, it's not going to change anything except for your point total...speaking against the "holy gods" only gets you moded...trust me...I know...
