After watching a ton of trailers and demos and stuff, it has come to me that RE5 is not scary. Dead Space looks much scarier. I have officially been let down by RE5. SAVE ME!
Yeah I agree.The resident evil series now reminds me of Fear.It is not really scary.Yes there are scary moments but the number one reason I play it for is the amazing action and cool story.Yeah Resident evil 5 will probably not be the scariest game around.But it will probably be one of the best action games if not best of 09.
But thats a good thing.Capcom knows how to changes but still appease to the fans.Now with that being said I would love to see what an old school Resident evil game[yes bad camera angles and all]would look like on the PS3.
I never thought of it in that way but yes... re4 didnt scare me either. It was alot of fun so it didn't bother me. But now that I think of it, it's kind of a shame I do miss the whole 'creepy hallway nemisis jumping through the wall with scary music score' feeling. Good old days of RE 1 2 3 and CV on the DC.

Maybe you should actually play the game before saying that. You shouldn't assume a game isn't scary based on the limited things you see in the trailers.

But he is right RE4 didn't capture that awfull feeling in your stomach kind of scary either and seeing that RE5 uses the same formula as RE4 that will probably happen again.
I miss the old style Resident Evil games (1,2,3) Its stopped being survival horror since 4.. More action is ok, but a good balance of scary and action like the older games would be good. I wasn't scared once or short of ammo playing resi 4.. 2 essential things needed in Resident Evil games imo.. Still, I'll be getting 5.

I don't think RE5 is suppose to be scary. It's suppose to have this urgent, stressed atmosphere at that if you don't start progressing and stop killing the zombies/ganados you will die(like RE4) I personally love that type of atmosphere.

RE5 does not look scary. i mean what happened to the RE series it's a horror series or at least it used to be. RE5 just looks like another shooter in the desert. i just hope it has some night levels that would be a bit better.

That was one of the parts that actually scared me in the game.I was walking along this bridge and it was pitch black and out of nowhere this rabit dog just jumps on me.My outlook on dogs has never been the same.
