As this is my fav. type of games, I haven't really come across any on the PS3 which is odd. I have a few rpgs, action/adventure games but still haven't had that real sense of adventure yet. Any ideas? Games that come close I own are ff xiii, white knight chronicles, enslaved and 3d dot game heroes. I gave uncharted and fallout a shot, but the FPS type of feel didn't appeal to me.

An older example would be helpful as adventure is a pretty open ended term.

If you were using politically correct terminology, you're looking for Heavy Rain.

If you're looking for just open world games to explore, try Sacred 2.

Although there is gunplay in them, I consider the "Uncharted" games as adventure... You're dealing with jungle and ruins, treasure, etc. and there is a large portion of discovery to the environments you move through, especially if you're looking to collect all of the hidden treasure items. If your definition of "adventure" leans to the sword'n'sorcery side of things, I still have yet to see a game as great as "Drakan - The Ancients' Gates" for the PS2 on this gen of systems. "Dragon Age", possibly, but I haven't played it so I can't comment.

Uncharted and Tomb Raider Underworld. Both have alot of exploring in the wilderness, ancient ruins, puzzles, artifacts.

from what i have played 3d dot game heroes and darksiders are the only games which feel like a pure adventure. probably due cause they borrow from zelda games.

Platformer, Platformer, Platformer Collection... Most of those games are platformers.
