ITS NOT FAKE!
i went to the same EB games and i pre-ordered MGS4 for the 360!!!
So in what dimension do you live in ? :P
Just another pic surfacing. This time showing a Crysis boxshot for.. PS3! Looks sketchy but I wanted to post it. Might be a gamestop screw up. Source PS: I dont know how to add just the pic. If you know please tell me, thanks!Chaos_BladezIt looks like someone printed out and image and slid it under the plastic layering. :|
there is no way that crysiscould look good and play fast with the cell CPU (being only a single core CPU and SPE core not realy counting tward game proformance)even on a overclocked Q6600 quad core and a 8800GTX the game still lags in a lot of places.elfboy69
Then who is going to be able to play that game? I'm going to buy a Q6600 Quad Core and two 8800GTS 320MB SLI along with 2048 MB RAM PC ... will that run it fine?

so all the other 7 SPUs are just there for the hell of it huh. electricity wasters no?

Yes that rig will run crysis fine, but in demos even a rig with the specs that i mentioned in my last post still has a problem with it on high settings,I havea Athlon x2 4200 OCed to 2.6GHz with 2 gigs of ddr2 two 160GIG HDD in raid o and a single 8800GTS 320MB and i will still be able to run crysis just fine, the cell isa single core cpu running a "mane" core that has a little more power than a pentiumD and a video card that is about equal to a nvidia 7800 wich is less than half the power of a 8800GTS.Also if your going to do SLI and have the money i would ether get two 640 MB cards or one GTX becuse in SLI you dont add up the memory form each card if you have two 320MB video cards in sli you still only have 320MBs of video ram.

SPEs are basicly math cores, they are ment to do a lot of adding and subtracting and so on,the are not made for andand not have the ablitey or handle multi media,The CELL CPU is meant to be a sever CPU,sever cpus a quit a bit different form the muti medi CPUs that you have in your computer.think of a sever CPU as a video card and a CPU (like the one in your PC at home)as a normal run of the mill cpu.you video card is going to run video apps and game a hell of a lot faster than your CPU,and your cpu will run normal apps way way faster than a GPU ever could, this is becuase they are made for two different task and and this is why OEMPC makers such as dell,hp,compaq, and otheres dont put sever cpus in even there highend modles.the SPEs can be used for things such as phyics (dont know if is spelled that right)and things like that but not much more.but HP does sell computers with xeons CPUs in them for small or home office use but they are ment for date storage and such.

Alright. If I make the choice from 320MB 8800GTS cards to 640MB GTS (corrected, GTX would be 768MB only)cards that will cost me 214 dollars more. I'm thinking that I'll take your advice. I'm just going to have to wait long to get the rig. Thanks.
It's fake there's no PS logo in the top left corner...I'm such a geek.moshakirby
If you were a real geek, you would have read the actual article and noted that it was a display box. You fail. You're not worthy of the geek name. Now Trogdor shall smite thee because of your failure at being a geek.
Anyway, who knows? We've seen crazy rumor-starting things like this that end up being correct. I mean, it's obviously not the actual game box, it's a display case like they normally have in stores like these. However, yes, it could just be a sick joke.

I dont have copy if the game but when you see demos of it and its running on a penryn (wich is a intel quad core that hasent come out yet) and a 8800GTX and it lags im pritey sure that is not going to run on a CPU that is a little faster than a pentium 4 and a video card that is close to a 7950.I mean come on how could you think its going to runon a PS3 when computer hardware 80X faster that hasent even come out yest still has truble playing it.

SPEs don't mean crap. The 360 uses 6 threads (real term for "SPE") that are more powerful than the PS3's 7-8 SPEs, and it still wouldn't be able to run Crysis at max because of RAM limitations. Plus, the PS3's RAM is even worse as the CPU and GPU can't even split their own share of 256 MB of RAM, so this game definitely wouldn't run on any console.
