Anyone else want to see games like Warcraft III, Command and Conquer, Age of Empires, Starcraft II, etc come to the PS3?

Now that we have confirmed KB/Mouse support, this just seems like the next step towards opening up a whole new genre of games on PlayStation. I mean heck, if they can do it for the 360, I don't see any reason why they can't do it for PS3.

Starcraft II on PS3 would be SICK!

I love (and i do mean LOVE!!!!!) the RTS genre, so don't get me wrong, but I've never felt that the controller was substantial for the genre. Now, granted, at the end of the day, I likemy PC a little more than my consoles (even though this generation I can now watch HD movies, which is amazing and a makes the PS3 a sserious contender for my love!) so I could be biased. It's just that I've played some in the past and they just didn't click with me. If, however, they could really nail the controls, I'd be quite content! As for the likes of SC2 and WCIII coming over, I'm all for it. Like I said though, I'd just like to see them really get the controls right (or maybe add mouse functionality. A sort of middle ground if you will).

Bladestorm is a realtime strategy game despite so many people still think it is just DW rip, only those who had played Kessen 3 would understand how it plays.

yea rts are the only type of game that are better on the keyboard+mouse in my opinion... so that would be cool if they had that option.

I played a lot of real-time strategy games like AOE, Age of Mythology, Cossacks, etc. on my PC before I made the jump to the PS3, my first console since Sega Genesis. I find that I'm really missing the RTS games and I would LOVE the opportunity to play them on my PS3. Any news on what's on the horizon? I tried out the Bladestorm demo, but was very disappointed. It just isn't the same. I'd like to see something very similar to some of the "classics" that I mentioned come to the PS3 so that I can sit on my couch and command armies sprawled all over my 50" screen.

I would rather see more exclusives that play to the strengths of the platform instead of RTS which honestly, in my oppinion, belongs on the pc,

The reason i got a ps3 was for games like Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted and so on. If i want to play a RTS, nothing beats the pc anyway so i dont see any reason for playing them on my ps3 instead but if it helps sell more ps3, count me in:)

The thing about mouse and keyboard on PS3 is that not every1 has there TV on a desk with enought space like with a computer. Think of the people who have their massive 110cm+ Full HD TV's sitting in a room with a couch infront, where are they gonna put the M&KB? on their knees? on the floor? Come now! sacrifice confort for a different way of playing?! I'd rather use a pad ...But RTS games suck with pads, there for i'd rather stick to em on PC...

Note: i do NOT have such a killer setup myself...

Linux is on PS3 but the Cell or/and RSX are all locked up (or something i dont really know the details) so games are a big no, also most decent RTS games are Windows only and even on actual PC's emulation is b****y...

Supreme Commander is most likely heading to the PS3. I dont know how well it could be played though, new age PCs are supirior to the PCs and still cant play a huge game without falling to its knees and begging for mercy. But if there's a unit limit or maybe a way to cut down the number of things that are processed, it should be a really awesome PS3 game... if you have a keyboard and mouse, controllers are not very god with RTS games

personally i would rather see developers focus on games better suited for the console. i cant see myself buying a spare keyboard and mouse and putting a table in front of my couch to play an RTS on my ps3 when i can do it much more easily on my PC.

But lets say the ps3 is AMAZING at handling Starcraft II, and not everyone has the bleeding edge PC hardware; opening the RTS genre to a whole console community is hugely lucrative. If Sony gave me the opportunity to bring my KBM into the livingroom, I wouldn't hesitate to rigg up a comfortable sitting situation.. With TV's starting to reach an acceptable display resolution, and with the ability to browse the net, I see it being inevatible for desktops to become redundant. I say bring on the KBM FPS' and create a open platform for developers!
