Reality check---> there's a very real possibility Motorstorm will get below 9

oh my mistake thoguth it said rare not real, and yea i dont see it gettin above a 9, its not gonna matter to me what it gets, i doubt ill be buyin it anyway, they more people keep hypein it tho the worse its gonna get, they just make it harder on them selfs when the game gets the 8.0-8.5 its gonna get

You are probably right. It's a pretty bare bones racing game. I'm not saying it's a bad game or doesn't look great....it just doesn't have much depth.Hulabaloza

no depth?  i have to disagree with that.  yea its not a sim racing game and doesnt have multiple racing modes to play like other racing games, but its not lacking depth. 

as long as it doesnt get a 5-6 im getting this game...i could care less if it gets a 9+, which is possible, but 8+ is fine by me

I don't think it's a real possibility Motorstorm gets a rating below 9.  It's a guarantee.

I know gamespot will give it a 7 or below because it is such a 360 bi-ost website. i wouldn't be suprised if the guy reviewing the game said "it's just not a 360 game..."ephoenix6

Getting our hopes up that GS or someone else will give it a high score, yea that's ridiculous, but thinking that this game is going to be a great little racer that which who are interested in will definitely buy, absolutely. The only things really hyped here are the visuals, everything else.. i mean truly how much can any one expect, people shouldn't get hyped up for anything cuzz that will usually send them back crashing to reality that practically no games are perfect and have a**load of fantastic content. MS= great lookin racer, nothing more, lets not try and make GT or Forza out of it, it's more like jetmoto, if anyone remembers that. To that however, if MS succeeds in doing what it is designed to be, a fast paced racer with good visuals, why shouldn't it get a high score. Why rate it for what it isn't and not for what it is?

not really, multiple modes don't mean jack.  NFS has them but i can't stand playing those games.  i didnt say it had an abundance of depth, i know its fairly straight forward and doesnt require the most hardcore of gamers to figure it out.  but bare bones and no depth are just the wrong words to use.  and anyways, i dont care it could be the simplest of games, but the demo is fun, i love the vehicles, the environment, level designs.  i know i'll spend many hours online.  just have to find the time between sup. com., crackdown, graw 2, C&C, and a couple other games im looking forward too...waay too many

The game honestly doesnt really look that insanely great to me, I completely agree with you TC. Everyone is wiggin out about this game because the better PS3 games arent comin out till later.  I mean how terrific can ANY racing game possibly be? Even with cutting edge graphics a racing game only has so much replay value.  Games like Halo, Vegas, and Resistance have a much greater replay value because the enemy can truly do different things online. In a racing game...He can drive just a wee bit faster? Turn a corner a tiny bit better? Don't get me wrong a like racing games like Burnout and PGR very much, but I'm just stating that I wouldnt imagine any racing game no matter how great to get above a 9.0.  The people with just PS3s need something so they can stay sane :D.Mecamatt
