Okay I've only got enough money for one of these games. As the title suggests I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get now. I've played the Re6 demo and it was fun but I didn't like some of the games new aspects. While with Dishonored I really like stealth games and it looks fun. The problem is that I haven't played it so I'm not sure it would be something that I'd like.

Anyway I'd like to hear your opinion on these two games.

of the two, i think dishonored looks like the much better game.

regardless of that, it seems like youre thinking of settling for something you feel so-so about rather than taking a chance on something new. id suggest, at least every once in a while, to take a chance on something new. youll just be playing the same old stuff otherwise.

If had to choose between the two it would be a no-brainer for me. Dishonored a million times over.

Honestly my problem with RE:6 is it will be 3 stories that are 2 missions a piece. And they will all converge together. But really how long can 6 missions be? And how engaging can 2 missions be a piece. I'll wait for the special version when that comes out with all the DLC that will come out included.

I'm of the opinion that RE6 will be fun, but "Dishonored" will be engaging. RE6 will be like junk food, and "Dishonored" will be a full meal.

Based on what everyone said I'm going to take a leap of faith and go with Dishonored. I'll get Re6 later on, and if I'm patient I'll wait till they release the "Gold" version.

Agreed, which is crazy in my case because I'm a long time RE fan and this will be the first time I didn't buy a new RE on day 1!!

Since I am a HUGE fan of Deus Ex (I like the new one too), add into that the Steampunk setting, Dishonored would be my choice. Frankly, I never really looked at the Resident Evil series after RE2. I might give the movies a try though.

Get Dishonored. It's a new ip, it promises something new and fresh, oh, and you play as a magical assassin.

Magical assassin >>>>>>>>>>> Chris, Leon, Jake and Ada sandwich.

What does it mean to be a new ip? I would get Dishonored out of those two. I might get XCOM Enemey Unknown too. Is that the same type of game as RE 6 and Dishonored?

No, XCom is a turn-based Strategy game, and the old one is a GREAT one at that. Even on the PS1 it was amazing, though it was HARD. How hard? Hard enough to make all the Demon's Souls level difficulty fans here go crawling off crying to...well, whatever they crawl off to cry to. Since the reboot is being developed by none other that legendary Fixeraxis and Sid Meier, I believe this game will shine. Not sure if it will resonate with today's gamer, but one can hope.

Well, personally those games are beyond my knowledge. there's Settlers, which sounds like Civilization, which is the one that company is known for. that was pretty good. these are more like just controlling a bunch of troops, but something about XCom sounded different. sorry that was not the right genre. never judge a book by it's cover. Settlers was a good old one for the PC. never had a ps1, but I switched off from the PC at the end of the PS2's hayday now I'm stuck with sony for almost everything. Definitely will be trying Dishonored, though probably will pass on Resident Evil 6. Did like Resident Evil 5 alright, but it may have been Resident Evil 4.

IP is a marketing buzzword eagerly adopted by gamers who listen to developers talk about their games like stock reports. it stands for Intellectual Property. in video gaming, new IP's are games that don't belong to an established series. call of duty is not a new IP because there are multiple call of duty games.

Capcom is a horrible company and deserves no love from gamers, Even if Resi 6 is a better game and doesn't have locked in-game DLC, it still doesn't deserve a purchase due to the horrible things Capcom has pulled on us in the past. So my advice to everyone would be not to buy RE6 or any other Capcom game new but used...

Now to answer your question. Dishonored looks like a mix between Deus Ex HR and Bioshock, so if you've enjoyed these two games in the past it's almost certain you'll have a blast with Dishonored. On the other hand Resi6 looks like an average TPS. Leon's campaign looks a little promising but other than that the game doesn't offer anything significant

sounds gay to me, but that's the industry I guess. I want to try out being a mage in Dishonored. ;)

I will play both of them once the price is reduced. I have a feeling Dishonored will be sleeper hit.

with the RE6 demo, was that the same one they had running around in March, or was it updated to be near the final build? If it was near the final build, Dishonored, if not, I will probably grab RE6

Is this really a hard choice? The correct decision, of course, is Dishonored.

I come with a different solution. I think Resident Evil 6 will be cheap very soon because now it is a more Action Game and many people hate that were to Dishonored is a new IP and has a lot of fans, just look above so the game will stay pricey for a long long time, so buy Dishonored now and if you get some money later, and maybe complete the game and sell it of you will have the funds to buy RE afterwards

Dishonered looks very unique to me, it's quit different and I like the Steam Punk type atmosphere. RE6 I played the demo and it plays more like Gears of War or Army of Two than a Resident Evil game.

Earlier on in the year, I would have said RE6 hands down based upon the fun and frantic RE5. But RE6 is nothing like it's brilliant predecessor with poor visuals and weak gunplay, so I now say Dishonored.
