common..the review states that the game is too hard...and for that it lost points. What is that? I played it the first time through on hard mode and beat the game in 10.5 hours with 42 treasures and like 560 medal points.

It isn't just about a number, its about the sales that the game will get from that number. Since most people want their games to be AAA, no one would buy it since it a "GREAT 8.0". If he prefers his Xbox 360 thenwhy the hell is he wasting his time reviewing PS3 games and downgrading themand not enjoying some "preferable" 360 games? I see no reason. Some people dod care about number and if you dont, then good for you. However, stop telling them that its "just a number". Everyone's been hearing that since they came out with the uber Ratchet & Clank review while making the so-called "conspiracy theories you were taking about such as "Too Easy", "Identity Crisis" etc.

Even if all reviewers perfer the 360, they should be able to recognize a great game on the ps3. I do when i see one regardless of what system it's on. I mean at least do your job right, dont misinformed gamers that Uncharted is not a great game.

Once again, it's someone's opinion and it's a number. There's no reason to make assumptions about the reviewers credibility or trash him. It is what it is, move on.

Boohoo someone disagrees with you ow no i have all three consoles and i dint care for uncharted its very linear am i now biased to the Xbox or wii look at my profile i have more xbox games then PS3 ami biased or do i prefer my games on the console that has my friends online amd a bigger online communtiy.

He should be showing the strong points of the game and where it succededs keeping in mind the genre it belongs too. If he doesn't like the genre, he shouldn't review games from it. I hate Halo and if someone gave me a copy to review, I'll instantly give it like a 7.0 or something and makeup random excuses. However will that becalled a review? Nope because that will be called ignorance and ignorance is what Gamespot's showing when it comes to PS3 games. They hate the console and they take out their hate on the games and make some people who only buy AAA games a reason to not give it even a look.

Yesterday I was looking at the Best of 2007 and I didn't see more than three PS3 exclusives in that thing. And even multiplats had the xbox 360 boxart. What to make of that is beyond me...

I wouldn't jump to conclusions and say Ryan is a fanboy. I rented and beat uncharted, and I believe that 8.0 is deserving. Sure, ign gave it a high score, but these are the people that gave 300s picture quality on blu-ray a 10. And its one of the grainest pictures around. So everyone has their own opinion.

Uncharted has its issues. Camera gets in the way sometimes. Since jumping sends you where you need to go instead of being super precise and accurate like a tomb raider is, the jumping mechanism doesn't always trigger right. Cover isn't implemented well, as you can't even crouch when on a big piller. And the game, just has a really bad far cry irony change when you get 85% of the way that doesn't exactly work well.

As you can see, its a great game. But its not superb.

There is no conspiracy, it's very cut and dry; GS employs reviewers that don't play/own PS3 games (this is incontrovertible fact; if you doubt this look for yourself). The Uncharted reviewer has 267 games, 1 of which is a PS3 game (yes that's correct I said 1). Frankly, this is embarrassing.

Whether this can affect the review scores is arguable, but no one would argue that this adversely affects the quality of the review.

Credibility is everything in journalism and unfortunately this does nothing for GS's "PS3 cred" on PS3 reviews, and therefore the vast majority of PS3 owners just plain don't trust the reviews.

This is the real heart of the issue.

Until GS employs reviewers that have and play PS3 games personally, no one in the PS3 community is going to take them seriously.
