i'm buying a ps3 next week, and was wondering what are some of the good titles coming out.

also, can you download playstation games and play them on ps3?

For a starter, Resistance, and Motor Storm are must own games. If you like F1, get that too, it has great Visual, hard A.I. and in depth Career mode.

If you live in the UK/EU, then look out for F.E.A.R and Oblivion (already out in the US). Those are great titles which will be coming out this next and next for the ps3.

Also... Look out for MGS 4, LAIR, Heavenly Sword, The Darkness, Killzone 2 and many more. :P

Mmmm i just started playing gran turismo HD concept today, its pretty amazing because its free.

PS3 is an amazing system i have no regrets buying it.

One major reason to buy the Ps3 is because it is cheaper than the 360. Many believe that the Ps3 is 200 dollars more expensive then the 360, this is wrong. Its often the reverse. Most people are on their 2nd 360...2*400=800. 800 is 200 more than 600. I had mine since November when Gears came out, and its working fine.

Unfortunately, theys not a whole lot of must have games for the PS3. Im personaly waiting until later this year when Lair and Killzone 2 comes out. Im actually on the fence of buying one myself. Im just waiting for a pricecut.(which may happen sooner than we think.)

(Deep breath) blue-ray player for awesome home theater experience, HDMI output, wi-fi, can use any bluetooth device, can rip music off CDs onto the memory, 60 gigabytes of memory, standard Harddrive means games will be designed to use it to reduce loading times, reliabley built, standard wireless controllers which don't run out of power for a long time, (you won't miss rumble) comfortable controller layout, motion controls are meant to add a subtle extra layer of control and immersion in games, it's a photo viewer, web browser, can play normal DVDs, free online multiplayer (not quite as great as Xbox Live, but still pretty good), lots of memory card slots for SD, Pro, it has 4 USB ports, nice and shiny, and blue-ray is a feature that will be taken advantage of in the near future for games to have more overall content in them. (whew)

The way I see it is if u liked PS1, PS2, then u'll definitely love PS3 so ge it..Dont worry about what other people say. If u come here and ask all ur gonna get is respones in why u should get over the xbox 360. Samething with the xbox 360 if u liked the 1st xbox and planning on getting one get, get it...If u go over to the 360 section they'll tell u the same thing in why u should get it over the PS3 and all that other junk.....I recommend u have both, they are both extremely great conosles, if anything there the best out there. Ok, and couple people please only list games that hav actually been anounced.  Exclusivity has not been divulged one way or another on SO many of those games so quit bs'ing us.  PLUS, you forgot Afrika, which is a games that actually has me really intrigued.blue-fish

You can see a lot of great new titles, on the downloads you can warm up for Tekken 6, with Tekken 5, GT HD(is a great racer, with online scoreboards which I like) and some more obscure titles, and there are a lot more downloads comming up.

Resistance is a must have, it's probably the best online console shooter ever, Motorstorm is also a must have, desert racing never looked this good.
