Recommend a game.

I just got my PS3 and thought the gamers here at Gamespot could point me in the right direction of PS3 must have/play titles. I love shooters and have UT3 and that's it, but I like any game that poses a challenge with a fun twist.

imo, avoid resistance.

definately pick up Call of Duty 4 if you're into shooters, especially an online experience.

And I'd say pick up Assassins Creed, just because it's so much freeroaming fun.

Racing: Motorstorm (I liked it, anyway)

RPG: Oblivion GOTY Edition

PSN: Everyday Shooter, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Rock And Roll Dance Party OK! Super Love Love Remix

Other: Rock Band

EDIT: I didn't like Resistance either. I thought it was derivative and not very technically impressive. You won't get anything out of that game that Call of Duty 4 won't give you.
