I've got the urge to buy some games to hold me over for the gaming frenzy that is October. Anything $30 and under is a welcome recommendation. I own Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, Ratchet and Clank: Future, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Unreal Tournament III, Warhawk and Motorstorm. I have previously owned Devil May Cry 4 and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
resistance, elephunk, bionic commando, and if you wanna go old skool you could pick up both God of wars, or all 3 Prince of persias, the first Killzone was good too
Ah yes, I actually own God of War 1, not 2 though, I'll look into the sequel. As for Prince of Persia, I owned and completed all 3, and Resistance the original is something I'd like to pick up but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it for $30 considering I rented it back in 2006 and nearly beat it, and I don't know if it's a worth a purchase just to finish unless the online is truly phenomonal. Elefunk requires an Eye Toy, correct? Don't have one, and Killzone I hear sucked, though I might give it a shot.
Owned Darkness on 360, and if I were to purchase Virtua Fighter 5 it'd prolly be on 360 as well due to the online functionality (unless there's and update on PS3 allowing online).
I picked up Timeshift for a bit over 26 dollars @ Gamestop recently. The game isn't a standout by anyone's imagination but does have some fun scenarios. I found the game longer than many recent shooters and the time shifting ability was a refreshing change. If you don't mind a disjointed story giving you the appearance of an unfinished game or the cut and pasted looking helicopter in a few levels, you might enjoy this FPS.

woah, I completely forgot about this title. I liked the demo quite a bit, the atmosphere gave me that Half Life 2 vibe. How's the online? People still play it?

I never play online so I don't know how Timeshift will play online. The graphics are decent - no worse than most popular games and I really got into it once I got past the first two levels. I just found the first two levels sort of blah.

Lair I rented and despised, though with the control patch it might be worth another look. I'm gonna wait for the full GT5 instead of purchase what is essentially a lengthened demo. I own Bionic commando on XBLA, R&CF: QfB is a definite purchase actually, I didn't realize it was out yet. Tekken 5 is a maybe, but with Tekken 6 coming out next year I'm not totally sure, and I own Super Stardust, and love it.
i suggest battlefield: bad company personally but im not sure how much that costs so try to get it used if u can. but a 30$ game i guess i would go with rainbow 6 vegas 2 if u can get it at that price (i got a really nice deal 4 one for like 25$ but im not sure if ull b as lucky)
Ill probably get flamed for recomending u this, but i dont really care. I just picked up Haze for $20 and its good enough for the purchase imo, and ok single-player and online is kind of fun, and there is co-op split-screen and online if you into that. Oh, and you said u play the timeshift demo, but i guess u didnt try the online multiplayer demo. I did and it was kind of fun the time power made it interesting, u should try it out and decide.

The Orange Box is only thirty bucks and is well worth it if you haven't already played it... Also Darkness is only $20 most places. Resistance has gone players choice too.
