Sweet. Resistance 2 was a great game and better than the original in almost every way. (you can flame me all you want. :P) I'm excited to see how the third one will be.
Not buying into the hype for the next game, unless it turns out to be truly impressive. Resistance 2 gave me the least enjoyment in a game ive played this gen.
I thought this was old news? When they had the advertisment for R3 it had the statue of liberty in the "A" kinda like the golden gate bridge was in R2's logo.

Actually if you think about it NYC might be a good location...it could feel like a totally new place with huge conversion centers everywhere, crumbled buildings I'm talking major damage to the cities like buildings on top of other buildings fallen, statue of liberty, and some really sweet set pieces would make it awesome....but I really hope the whole game doesn't take place there....I'm hoping that the player could work it's way up north to Alaska then eventually Russia etc.
As Resistance takes place in the 50's, should R3 go there, it would be a different NYC than we've seen in Ghostbusters, GTA4 (to an extent), and coming up in Crysis 2. Based off of Intel in R2 the Chimera were terraforming Australia to make it cold and snowy, I really would like to see Insomniac go with that premise and show us a frozen land down under instead of the oft over used New York.

That wouldn't be a bad idea, setting it in Australia, we haven't seen that before, so I'd like to see it set down here. Either that or set it in europe, I like that setting. New York has been used alot so don't really want it to be there, but it could be good. I'm happy as long as there's a Resistance 3.

The Chimera don't need conversion centers anymore, but since it's in the grey territory there will probably be spinner pods all over the place. Also neither of the Resistance games have been set in one city. R1 was set in England but it moved through different cities and same for R2. So I doubt that R3 will be solely set in New York.

well if resistance 3 comes out I hope to god that they dont use the same engine, it's the same freaking engine they use for ratchet and clank and while it's good for the ratchet games because of the pallete it's terrible for gritty FPS games, they need to use the killzone 2/3 engine or a whole new engine otherwise ill pass on the game.
