Remake Of The Resident Evil Series?...........

Does anybody know of it? I think it would be awesome, actual zombies, get to replay the old games with new gameplay (of course they should make slow sensitivity a mandatory setting since the zomobies would be walking). I want to play old games over with new graphics etc. it would make me so happy! How about you guys?

mandatory slow sensitivity...? Unless it were as slow as RE4's then hell no.

also, remakes are highly unlikely. but after Lost in Nightmares, I do like the new team more than the old. They were able to do classic style better than the old games. and with the new aiming style.

It's okay... but for a low price... and make it a collection... just like God of War...

But they should focus more on bringing us new games to enjoy...

I myself am not a huge fan of RE4 or 5. Not so much the style but where are the zombies?! Give us back the dumb moaning zombies!

I thought they did remake RE2 & 3 for the wii.. unless im wrong? They already did the original i know that much. Dont' really see a reason why it needs to be remade again.

They did remake the first game on the Gamecube but nothing on 2 and 3 but I wouldn't mind it. I did love number 4 it felt fresh and well 5 was just a better looking 4 but not as epic or fun.

I would rather have a RE6 set within the graphics of RE5 however with the old controls of the old RE games. With the option of Co op if you wanted to do co op. Not the choice forced upon the gamer.

The only remake was recent port of GCN versions to Wii. Unfortunately they still only play in 4:3, so thats an automatic pass.

Are you new to this sort of thing?? Remake a series?? Every gamer has cl*ssics he would like to see re-done, but you have to remember that even remakes take time to be done... and why should Capcom start over again with RE when it's still releasing games for the series? RE6 is already told totake 6 years to be done because of the reboot, why prolong it even more by adding a re-make to their load of work? And don't forget, RE1(which is considered by many to be the best RE, as well as RE3) ha already been re-made for the gamecube, and there are also some Wii remakes, not to mention RE Umbrella Chronicles which has Wesker in every RE game upto that point. Bottom line,it's foolish to just check if there's gonna be a remake of a wholeseries and asking ifanyone heard news about it in a forum, especially with a series like RE because of the reasons given above:P I sense you're new to this sort of thing, so keep this in mind and learn fromthis:)

PS: There are a fair amount of RE games that have great graphics. I think that RE1-RE3's graphics are the only ones that you wouldn't like, personally I don't mind them cause they're very nostalgic.

they need to take a note from Dead Rising.. next gen RE should be countless hordes of zombies (bring the survival horror back!)

Should do well, I have no idea who ALL great games like resident evil would not be remade in HD, trophys, and maybe updated control....

there was a special time back then when video games were deep, meaninful and had long lasting memory.....

Bionic Commando was a NES game and HD up for the psn,,,I thought it was pretty great....

Please someone take all the old school games and bring them into this century

I completely agree. And I tried about 5 or 6 times to get into RE4, but I just couldn't. Friggin' horrible game. I was hoping RE5 would redeem the series for me, DL'd the demo a few days ago, and...crap. Utter crap. The over-the-shoulder is horrible. Couple that with the slow and clunky movement, and it's just a chore to play. The slow and clunky movement was fantastic in the originals, it worked with the camera angle and enemy response beautifully. But its presence in an over-the-shoulder view...ugh. Plus, the games aren't at all scary anymore. Remember the scares in RE2 and RE3? The genuine scares coupled with music-guided suspense? I miss that. They should just make it an FPS, speed it up, and be done with it.

They only remade RE1 and it was one hell of an improvement over the original. Totally worth the money.

RE2 & RE3 could both of definitely done with remakes as well but not generation. It's too late now.

it seeems dahaka is the only one in here with a memory. RE1 was the ONLY REMAKE. updated graphisc and a couple of new gameplay elements (the self defense weapson for one). This REmake was then later ported to wii. RE2 and 3 WERE NOT REMADE, only re-released with 32bit graphics and smoother textures (curtoisy of 32bit VS the old PS1 16bit graphics---------btw 16bit and 32bit in this regard is the TEXTURE QUALITY, not the console CPU). code veronica got its SECOND re-release on the GCN as well (first release was under CV:X on the PS2).

CRYSTAL BALL says that Re6 will be heavily influenced by L4D. imagine an online zombie game WITH A Story that wasnt crap like the Ps2 ones....
