This question would depend on what you are more of a fan of. I stopped being a real MGS fan after a second game, after that point, it turned into... "ya whatever, giant mechs, patriots, big boss, got it". At this point MGS seems to be stretching the same thing on forever. Battlefront I do like, but its multiplayer is pretty much dead. I hear RS is active and more fun then BF ever was, so I'd check that out personally. Being able to custom your class would allow me to do the things I always wanted to do but never could. ie Blaster Rifle with jet pack instead of stupid arc caster, etc. Sniper rifle with cloaking device?
You always get your moneys worth with multiplayer games. A single player game becomes pretty much scrap after you've finished it, and RS has the multiplayer.
As for that other guy saying MGS is the best game out, look at the chart some time soon before you say that. Crisis Core has been first place for like a week. MGS nor RS are even on it now. MGS was on it a few days ago but fell off. It may have been rated higher then RS, but I doubt it's multiplayer was taken into real account to begin with.

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.
For me, MGS PO is better than RS. But if you like shooters go with RS.

Thank you for the thoughtful response. I was thinking that I would rent MGS PO and probably buy Renegade Squadron; though I have heard that the controls in renegade squadron are terrible, so I may rent both. (Gamefly ftw)
