[QUOTE="linktheworld"] ok I know you will die in real life with a shot to the head, but this is supposed to be FUN, and the game isnt FUN at all. It is boring and it is the samething OVER AND OVER..... oh look another door to stack up to. Oh look I throw a gernade like a p*ssy, oh look you click DOWN on the R3 button to zoom which is the same button you AIM with.
You guys are wrong about the fact that I WOULD like a tactical game, but this game is just bad. For the record I HATE Halo, and was the first person in the history of the planet to say that, yeah I was there when the makers of the game first were making it, and they were like.....hmmm.... what should we call this game.....how about....HALO...and I was standing right behind the guy...and I said.... HALO SUCKS! So you see.... I was first to hate it. No but really, I dont know WHY you would think I would like halo, but I dont.

The thing is mate, that many people do enjoy Rainbow Six Vegas 2, myself included. That's a fact. :)
It's completely understandable that you don't find the game fun, it's just not your type of shooter. It's very tactical, you're right. It's not meant to be more freely open in gameplay. It's forcing you to take cover constantly, you can only take barely 2-3 shoots before you die which result in mission over. (Head-shots and close combat is 1 shoot death.) However, when you play the game strategically, it is the most realistic adaptation of real life imitation, especially when you can't even dream of running across in the open area without smoke cover in "Realistic Mode" before getting half-way shoot down.
The game favors slow pace, planning and tactical use of cover as well as your team. My very good friend does serve in military and his first words of real time life situations are: "When you're getting shoot at, the first thing you do is get to cover and kiss it as good as you can."
2-3 bullets or one well placed, that all it takes. I don't know about others but I enjoy playing the game like that. It makes you think, it makes you appreciate and understand how important cover is, either a solid wall, or irreplaceable teammate that saves your life when position properly.
It's not just one door entry either. Almost every mission objective has multiply entries. Windows, doors, rooftops, ropes, different floors access, you can use diversion to get enemy attention while your team opens and clears the room.
Personally, nothing gives me more pleasure then planing an entry point and taking down 4 enemies in 2 seconds with silencers ON before they even know what happened. It's like we were never there. :)
There are also many different guns to use, armor, cloths to unlock to make your own unique character. That's a great addition over RSV 1 and makes multiplayer enjoyable for long time to come.
Judging by your responses you don't find any of above mentioned enjoyable or fun at all, and that's fine. Maybe shooters like Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty, Team Fortress are much more appealing to you. I like all of them as well.
But you have to understand that when you don't like something, that's you own choice. You can't change hundreds of people joy for the game. You have to respect their opinion, but you have to earn it first. :)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is an excellent Tactical FPS game, in fact it's the best one on the market. That's a fact you will have to understand and appreciate. ^_^
Well said. But, it's a fact that he has to understand and accept it.
Have you not noticed the people who complains or bash a game for being too slow are the ones with short attention spans or the kind of gamers that want to just simply run and gun through an area? They think they can do that in every shooter.
To the TC, R6V2 is a thinking man's game. Tactical games are fun because it's all about planning and communicating with your team. They aren't "horrible" just because you don't like it.
