Ok i'm tired of deleting stuff my 60 gig hard drive so I am going to replace it. a few questions

1.) Will I still have full backwords compatibility (play ps1,ps2 games) once i transfer everything over to my new hdd?

2.) Will my trophies carry over?

3.) Will a 2 gig SD card be enough to back up my game saves?

4.) Can I just re-download the psn games i have purchased?

5.) What do you think of this hdd for a replacement? is the brand reliable? Thanks!

I'm sure your trophys are tied to your account on sony's servers and not localy on your machine. so yeh you'd have acces to them.

They're right, using backup/restore tool works like a charm too, if you have an external USB drive kicking around. Pretty much the same PS3 coming out after going in, except a little bit longer of a trophy sync. It has to have a fat32 partition though, windows xp or later doesn't like making big fat32 partitions, so you usually need an app for it.

just wonder if you can just hook both HDD's up to your PC at once and simply copy paste everything over

wouldn't that be easy.

Had to edit, I'm never posting again

..i just posted for some reason...667

I say this to everyone who's about to upgrade their HDD: Make sure you use the correct screwdriver when unscrewing the old HDD. If it doesn't unscrew, don't force it, or you'll be sorry.
