Assassin's Creed is a game with amazing presentation but it does not deliver. Trust me, I was one of those optomistic people who used to defend the game on the forums before I actually bought it.
The game has such a "look but don't touch" rule to it. The enviornments are so beautiful but it's so hard to enjoy them because the second you start acting up (like by running...) the guards chase you. It gets worse the more you progress through the game. Plus AC barely qualifies as a stealth game. The combat is poor, the story is underdeveloped and the overall gameplay has a lot of flaws.
As for replay value, it has little to none. I found it hard enough to get through the game the first time around. But I'd buy it again because it's pretty cheap now. $40 or less is a very fair price for the game.
This game is great the first time though.
But that is the problem. The FIRST time. There is little (to no) reson to replay the game.
The only reason I can think of for replaying the game is to refreash the story in your head to get ready for the (allegedly) 2 future game (in order to makeit a trilogy).
I am a big fan of stealth games and I'm thinking of getting Assassin's Creed. From the screen shots and review, the world seems really big and filled with people. My question here is if there's anything else you can do aside from the main story mission? Like, if it offers a little 'sand box' element in the game where you can do anything you want, like in the GTA series. Other than that, is there any other reason to replay this game if you've beat it?northypoley
