lol no seriously the game was far from scary, even the chainsaw guys. RE5 is no way near scary. but if it was for u well at least u had a blast with it. me and some other ppl, well it was a good game, co-op was fun i guess, but scary, lmao i laugh at that sorryif you play it by yourself for first time then yeah

having a forced A.I parner losses its potential of being scary.....Day light = nothing is scary....
This game was an epic fail when 4 was given the game of the year, the team showed zero effort into changing the game or making it what made the resident evil so popular....it was ment to please the masses and let the original fans down....
Not scary at all, but a very good game though.oh my lord this game is scary chainsaw people haha

Guys, nothing beats the first three series 1, 2, and THREEEEEE! they are way better than 4 and 5. except that they were made for ps1 :( Wish someday I will play a remake one of these game... :lol:newown
yea exactly ...i recommend looking into the gamecube remakes 0 and the directors cut .....you wont be disapointed ...sucks that they made 2 and 3 also for it with the same old ps1 graphics :/
How was Resident Evil 5 crap compared to Resident Evil 4? The gameplay was exactly the same. I played both, both seem equal to me.re5 was CRAP compared to re4

Resident Evil 5 while good was just Resident Evil 4 with co - op superior graphics nothing new was added. I hated the inventory and the bosses sucked well maybe 1 or 2 didn't.

ifu can find re2 and 3 for PC, they include 32bit graphics which are far cleaner then the 16bit graphics of SDTV's teh ps1 prouced. also ported to the GCN re2 and 3 sport the higher res graphics.
Resident Evil 5 was good for CO-OP I like the game but Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 were scary in places especially because of those big spiders because I hate them. Dead Space was more scary and creepier then Resident Evil 5.
Scary might not be the right word but there is definitely some tension. Most of it, for me at least, was derived from the horrible controls and imbalanced co-op.

The gameplay is highly similar, and personally I prefer RE5 to RE4, the environments just seem more colorful and I like how it evolved.re5 was CRAP compared to re4

i'd prefer Leon over Chris Roid-field any day! lol playing RE5 right now for the first time NOT co-op and man is sheva ANNOYING, can't hold a lantern straight
scary? no
tense? yes
I remember my first playthrough of the very beginning:
all the zombies started swarming the house and all I had was a measly pistol...then some huge guy with an axe busted through the wall and started coming at you too
and it took FOREVER for backup to arrive and create an escape route
now that's what you call intense
although now, it's a piece of cake with an infinite rocket launcher and an infinite magnum
CPU sheva just sucks. wastes too much ammo
I swear she shot me more than she shot the enemies
unfortunately, I didn't find out about putting her in "attack mode" until the second playthrough
Exactly. Except I hated the main character in Resident Evil 4, that guy was too emo.[QUOTE="Warriorboy1990"][QUOTE="juden41"] The gameplay is highly similar, and personally I prefer RE5 to RE4, the environments just seem more colorful and I like how it evolved.kungfool69

Leon is a much better character than Chris in my opinion. We should make a poll to see if people like Chris or Leon more. (:[QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]scary is subjective yo... i havent seen a scary movie since 'it' by stephen king when i was like 5... azzezino
So true. If you never watched this as a kid, consider yourself lucky.
I still have to know anyone who watched this as a kid and didn't get scared from this damn clown.
The first RE games were so freaking scary and so is RE:Code Veronica X, "I still freak out when that **** licker comes out from the window in RE2 T_T"
. RE4 was awesome, almost perfect but that game changed the genre of the game then, look at RE5. it's a great Third-Person shooter and i love it but when it's compared to RE series, it's garbage.
scary is subjective yo... i havent seen a scary movie since 'it' by stephen king when i was like 5... MethodManFTWlol that movie scared the hell out of me when I was kid. Anyway RE4 is better than the first 3, but the first 3 are better than 5. None of them are really scary but the first 4 offer a great sense of tension. Ashley and how vulnerable she is made a good balance for your arsenal in RE4.
Game wasnt scary, it was tense at moments though ill agree to that, i enjoyed the game myself going through it with friends but didnt enjoy it a whole lot by myself
