Has anyone completed it on impossible? Any advices? What are the differences between this and veteran mode?

upgrade the magnum, shotgun, and sniper rifle to infinite ammo and full damage before you even attempt it.

Yeah, otherwise you'll never make it.
If you have completed the campaign once which is within the time frame of 5 hours, you unlock infinite rocket launchers. All you have to do is simply replay that chapter if you feel that it has impacted towards staying below the 5 hour time frame. When you complete a chapter again but faster, it will overrite the previous one. The professional mode is proven much more difficult than veteran. The enemies will do a considerable amount of damage, usually two to three times the damage than on veteran. When the player engages in the "dying" mode, the partner has less than 2-3 seconds to revive otherwise the dying player will, as you know, die. Basically, the player or partner that reaches dying mode, the other must be next to the dying character to resuscitate otherwise it's game over.
I had a blast beating professional mode by myself, as well as with a buddy.
Make sure to have a few good guns maxed out with infinite ammo, and, of course, if never hurts to have the infinite rocket launcher to lay waste to bosses really fast and easy. Don't forget the melee and bullet proof vests, as well as some first aid sprays.
Also, try not to get hit because your partner has next to no time to revive you if you go into dying status, which will happen on professional.
Good luck.:D
It's fun, but definitely have infinite ammo for at least a magnum, and sniper rifle. The infinite rocket launcher will make most bosses a breeze. Be forewarned about the 1st wesker encounter and El Gigante fights though. If playing solo try not to get hit as pretty much everything puts you into dying status and your AI partner thinks it more important to keep fighting or stand around at times rather than save your @ss even though you're right next to them.
It was really easy except for chapter 2 part 3 and chapter 5 part 3. All because of the AI. I would be in the dying state with Sheva right beside me and she wouldn't heal me. She had like 4 first aid sprays. I had the two first magnums fully upgraded with infinite ammo as well as the infinite rocket launcher. I had the strongest and slowest (I forget what it's called) sniper rifle fully upgraded but not with infinite ammo.
