Resident Evil 5 - Port?

I'm really hoping Resident Evil 5 doesn't become some water down Xbox 360 port onto the PS3. I've been following this game for awhile now and I'm not sure if I'm wrong but I believe Resident Evil 5 first started on the PS3 and is being ported to the Xbox 360. If this is true and the Xbox 360 game is visually better I'm going to be pissed, I hope more developers learn the true power of the PS3.

im hoping that Resident Evil 5 is not a port, but i do remeber hearing that it was starting on the PS3.

re5 did start on the ps3...and assassins creed actually has a BETTER framerate on the ps3leon106

its weird cause IGN and gamespot say the opposite of eachother, so how do you know for sure the PS3 is the better?

Stats stated here the PS3 is not just a powerful as the 360 it's even more powerful then the 360, compare the specs the PS3 is clearly the victor in hardware faster processer better graphics engine blu ray technology. And its funny how games continue to look better on the 360 where the PS3 has the superior hardware, someone needs to find the true formula to make a great Playstaion 3 game, if they don't we will suffer like this. For instance you saw kill zone 2 that's the true power of the PS3 the 360 cant get anything even near as good graphically as that, and yet multiplatform games look better on the 360 then on the PS3, now ask yourself a question why? Because most American game producers know for a fact that the 360 sales in the US are huge so they work harder on the 360 version then the PS3 version, it's all about the $$$ and the only great looking games we will get that will show the true power of the PS3 are exclusive.

It is not only that but it is EASIER to make games on the 360 than it is to make games on the PS3.

I hear you, I don't know why they put greater effort into the 360 for, the PS3 is just as powerful if not more with potential. I'm not a fanboy and thing teh 360 is great to but dev's insult the PS3 with crappier ports. Prince_Denspion

^^^ look what happended with Assasins Creed, it was "exclusive" and now appearantly its the worst version of the 2. Prince_Denspion

this is the reason why they port from 360, ps 3 is more powerful. they make game for 360, because it surefire on ps 3. if they made it for ps 3 first, they would have to change models and textures and lots of ther things to fit weaker 360. its easier that way.
