RE is one of those game series that's notorious for delays, lengthy development cycles, and restarts (see: RE 2 and RE 4). We won't be seeing this untill 2009, possibly even early 2010. But I believe they should take as much time as necessary to make this the best Resident Evil yet.
Too bad it woudn't come out fall 2008. Oh well there are other awesome games coming out fall 2008 for ps3 so that will kill the time and approach RE5 to its release date.
i was reading a article in GI and they talked about how RE5 was expected to come out this fall, i hope so.PhAnToM_LeGeIVd
I really doubt it, the fall is too crowded, even for RE5, they will be better off waiting until Q1-Q2 of 2009, plus I don't think they will be done polishing it up, I think they could rush it and have it done, but Capcom does not do this with their major franchises, Look at RE4, came out in January, so I would not be surprised if it came out in either Q1 or the spring of 2009, And I would not be surprised if everything got gutted and reworked and they pushed it back to the end of 2009, But anyways, I don't think they will have RE5 out at the end of this year.
Well, I'm pretty sure Resident Evil 4 is Capcom's biggest selling game of all time, so I don't think they would want to rush out 5 and risk screwing it up, since they aren't pressured into releasing. RE4 took forever as well, and look how great it turned out, so hopefully they realize that was a smart thing to do.
