United Kingdom - Call of Duty: World at War takes the top spot for the third week in a row in the UK according to Chart-Track. FIFA 09 and Mario Kart Wii both slip one slot to make way for a two-spot climb by NFS: Undercover.
Guitar Hero: World Tour makes another appearance in the top 10, and bringing in the rear is the debut of Resistance 2, and according to GfK Chart-Track, matches only approximately 66% of the original's launch week.

Why????I thought the game especially the multiplayer mode was AMAZING!The multiplayer mode in Resistance 2 is the best in current FPS games. what do you think guys???
I guess its attributed to the fact theres so many good games coming out...and that its christmas...Resistance 2 is for more mature audiences, who are a little more strapped for cash in this season...
Maybe it just doesn't speak to people over there. I bought the game on launch day, played it for 2 days, then Gears of War 2 came out, played it and then got lost in the sea of other great games this fall and now I have no desire to play R2 ever again. I don't really care for MP, I like co-op but my personal friends all have 360s and the single player (to me) is boring. I guess the UK feels the same.
There are too many good games that just came out and it's christmas time, time to buy gifts for a bunch of people in the family, etc.
One thing I don't understand is what is NFS Undercover doing in 2nd place... was it on sale perhaps?
But still, it's just a bunch of blogs trying to get hits on their sites with catchy titles like "littlebigplanet IS a FLOP because it didn't sell so many units" or "Resistance 2 is a FLOP because it didn't make number one spot."
I'll tell you what is a FLOP, the economy is a big FLOP right now. Those blogs are FLOPs too IMO.
As I posted in SW, those multiplats have sales from multiple consoles COMBINED. How does anyone expect it to beat the sales from both PS3 and 360 versions of the likes of CoD or FIFA?

One PS3 exclusive managed to do it. *COUGH*MGS4*COUGH* And GTAIV was behind in the second place.
Its not that its set in America. Nor that no one's bothered about it. It's because it's so close to Christmas there's no point buying a game you will probably get for Xmas. I would also tell you all the financial details for it selling badly but you wouldn't understand a word of it. No offense meant and all!
all them other games are proven franchises though, even like brain training is really well known from it's previous iterations, and of course cod5 will get number 1. It probably sold pretty well, as long as wii music isn't up there i don't care. It is a great game though, both the singleplayer and multiplayer.

I think this is happening to quite a few people. It happened to me as well except now that I'm finished with Gears I'm back on it. Resistance is really good, I just preferred Gears.

First off, it's Football over here. And so we don't buy Resistance 2 were stupid and inadequit. (I'm not gonna take it out on americans it's unfair on the good guys)
Anyway, i can see that chart changing during the week before crimbo. All the last minute shoppng for games. i can't imagine Fifa or PES being big sellers, but the likes of Far Cry 2, Resistance, LBP and Call Of Duty are gonna start flying.
I dont think casuals dont know about sony's exclusives for some reason....one of my friend who owns a ps3 doesnt know about mgs4, uncharted, resistance, ratchet & clank....or any of those kick ass games.....all he plays is call of duty 4, call of duty WAW, madden, and fight night round 3.....

well i loved the first resistance,but when i played the Beta demo of R2 i was dissapointed-looked too brightly coloured and gameplay didn't seem as good.Which is a pity cos i was really looking forward to this game,but wont be getting it now.
