Resistance 2 footage!

The map looked good graphically but did not appeal to me much. I just hope that the maps are balanced. They MUST bring back cathedral that was a great map.

who said anything about xbox? someone always has to bash on the other system or talk about the people who play it. this "system wars" thing is really ridiculous.

I'm not sure why Sony decided to release KZ2 after this game.......I think this game will not fair too well when going up against Gears 2 but that's just my opinion after seeing the multiplayer in action. Maybe they can fix it up so it's more polished.darthogre

i tend to agree, but hopefully with gears 2 being on the other system it wont hurn resistance 2 that bad. honestly though, idk why everyone is so hyped for this game. the first one was just an average shooter, and those videos dont look that great really. Killzone 2 looks to have much more promise.

When you come to accept the fact that different gamers have different tastes, it all makes sense! ;) I, for one, find the Resistance 2 videos jaw-droppingly good. I can't wait to play that game now.

I think Gears is hyped too much, a handful of people I know w/ 360s don't like it

Killzone 2 so far has been nothing but graphics trying to live up to a trailer. All the other aspects have been done before in other games. The whole buddy system seems a bit flawed to begin with. Helping people to reach other areas of the game. Seems like it would be cool at first, but then would become a chore later on. If you do it too little why do it at all. Resistance 2's graphics might not be a huge jump from the first, but the story seems cool and with 8 players in it and 60 player battles going on, this makes it all worthwhile. The gameplay outweighs the graphics. Everyone needs to stop caring so much about GFX. Ever since haze came out, people have been complaining about graphics in every game. People were complaining that GTA 4's graphics were crap and then there were some that said that MGS 4's looks weren't that awsome. Get over the fact that not every game on PS3 is going to blow your mind away visually. I would rather resistance 2 have an awsome campaign like the first instead of wasting it all on graphics like Lair and Heavenly Sword.

It's time to face facts that the PS3's superior power isn't that much afterall. Yes Uncharted, Ratchet, Killzone 2, and MGS 4 are the best looking games on any console, but most games aren't going to push it that far. It is all talk by Sony, just like graphics don't matter and no hard drive is needed is all talk from Nintendo, Comapnies aren't going to come out and say "we aren't that great". It's time to mvoe on and have fun and forget about how much usage of the cel is being used in X game. No one on the forums is a programmer and can't tell the difference between 30% and 75% usage.

I like the level designs. Post-apocalyptic setting = awesome-ness. I hope that they polish R2 up real nice. Resistance: Fall of Man lacked the shiny finish, graphics wise. They really need to step it up with the textures.

yeah gears is hyped ALOT, but from what ive read on these forums, so is this game. im not the biggest fan of gears. i had fun with it, but it had some problems. this (R2) just seems to be your average shooter gameplay wise. i think so many people loved the first one because it was really the only good game that came out at launch.
