Hey I just wanted to ask a question about the health system in R2 because I havnt played the demo or anything just seen videos.

It appears that they have changed the health system from R1- they used to have that cool 'tiered system' where you could only regenerate health up to a certain point, and you had four 'quarters' of health. I thought this was an aweome system, added a fair bit of strategy as opposed to other shooters where you just hide under a table and get back to full health. Judging from the videos they have abandonned this system and just gone for that crappy 'red side of your screen' thing.

Anyway I just wanted to ask someone who has played the game what the health system is like.

I've only played the beta and there is two different health systems between the two modes. Co-op has no automatic health regeneration and you need to be healed via a medic's gun. Competitive has a health system like the one you described with one bar and you heal to full if you hide for long enough.

I'm not sure about single player, and I agree with you that it was a good system. Hopefully the 4 segments thing is in single player.

forgot about the coop. You are right, that doesn't regenerate.

They removed the old school system as they found complaints from gamers, saying it made it uncomfortably hard. I cant believe people cant play with a health bar. It adds to the diff in the game.

People were complaining about that system?? If it was too hard for them then they should try playing on easy :)

Yeah, I actually like way health works in co-op because it forces teammork. Only Medics can regenerate their own health, but their incentive to stick with their team and heal them is that they get experience for healing each other.

I'm glad they kept a significant amount of health in competitive. I hate games where there is a ridiculously low amount of health and takes less than 1 second of being shot with any standard weapon to die. That is the main reason I dislike COD4.

Also, I have a feeling that they're going to use the full bar for single player too. I don't mind because either way is fine by me.
