Resistance 2 is horrible...

I was so happy I got the beta, but if you want a repeat of Socom (the servers that is) I suggest you get it. The game is god-awful and the now the enemies have XP points like a RPG.InfamousDeezy

Did you play for like 3 minutes then write this? I've been playing all night and most of this morning and I have yet to have a single server issue. Personally, I like how you level your charcter through XP, adds replay value for me; it keeps me coming back for more. Also, this is a BETA, not the full retail version. A beta is released to test the servers/gameplay for bugs and/or glitches, with that said, those types of things (bugs and glitches) is to be expected. Stop whining.

Get that garbage out of here. The servers must be bad because insomniac was nice enough to let just about everyone who wantd to, get in. People with attitudes like you have no business being in any betas. Resistance 2 is the best online FPS I have ever played. As for the xp, if you have ever played call of duty 4 they have a similar system, and if you haven't noticed that game is massively popular too hotdog boy.

I have not had any problems with the servers.. The 8 player online co-op has been great. As far as the game goes i have not played the single player mode yet since the game isnt out yet so i cant really say that resistance 2 is horrible.

People don't seem to realize that BETAs are unfinished, in-progress builds of the game and are meant to help developers address problems before the game is fully released.

And if you played more than a few minutes worth, you'd realize that the XP you gain in battles unlocks new abilities, weapons and generally makes your character stronger. The more you play, the stronger you get. How that reward-system hurts the game is beyond(BEYOND!) me.

I've been playing the beta all last weekend and I couldn't be more excited about the game. Between Resistance 2, Fable 2, and Fallout 3, I don't think I'm going to have much free time :)

I'm not sure how common it is, but I have heard, and experienced inability to join games, or create games :(. I played a few rounds last night, but haven't been able to get in a game since. Fun game, but it does have it's flaws. Knowing Insomniac, they should have it fixed by release :D.csqwared

The server held up for me yesterday and last night, but this morning was terrible, I got into only one game and I was trying for about 2 hours. I haven't experienced the co-op yet, but as far as the multi player goes its pretty average. Not bad but not great. There's nothing like taking out some random guy in the basement by shooting he THROUGH THE FLOOR. definity an "Oh Snap" moment, but it fades pretty quickly then sinks back to average. If the single player is good then this will be a pretty good game over all but not a AAA title. Still a must have for resistance fans.

A public beta like this is basically a stress test for the servers which allows them to optimize based on the amount of stress put onto the server.

Bugs glitched etc etc will all be done on a close beta with proper beta testers in house, and a public beta is basically a marketing ploy, in 90% of public betas theres no way for the public users to voice there opinions about bugs etc except maybe on a forum but a real beta tester has to fill in forms and have disccussions with the team.

A public beta is a good indication of how the final game will be played, unless the public beta comes out months in advance like halo 3 you can bet what your playing in the beta is near final version, and considering R2 is out in a few weeks theres basically no time left for development since it takes around 2 weeks for production and shipping.

Those who have Resistance 2 Beta knows it's working well so far. I know it has for me.

u were the dumbass that was complaining about how the 360 was soooo much better than the ps3. i don't give two sh**s about anything u say

I didn't experience any horrible lag issues when I played it, then again I only played a few times since I left my PS3 at my bros house since I'm in the moving process.

They better fix this lag issue before they review it or else it'll get Socomed.

Anyway, I checked my email today and I was chosen for the beta but someone already hooked me up with a beta code this week. So most likely I'll give my extra beta code away or trade it with a friend. I don't know what to do with my extra Resistance 2 beta code.

Its like both. The classes level up and gain new abilities. My level 5 medic has an AoE regen ability that heals the people around me. Its the only class I play, so not sure about the others. I haven't seen any lag whatsoever, and I'm playing from Japan. The online works great!

game is wayyyy different from the first resistance in my opinion, in terms of guns, pacing, shooting, grenades, etc. it seems completely revamped in all areas. to me it feels a lot more like halo 3 than the first game

which isnt necessairly a bad thing. Its weird because i played resistance for about 6 months whithout playing another game and was really good at the time winning about half the free-for-all games and now i suck at resistance 2 lol. people keep owning me pretty bad

Resistance 2 is one of the best games I have played on the PS3.thelastguy
