Resistance 2 looks great but I like third person shooters not FPS:(

I'm not a huge fan of first person shooters anymore. Resistance 2 looks great but I don't know. it better be excellent for me to buy it. I played tons of fps over the years and every one I played, I wasn't too happy with them. fps should stay on arcade games because it feels cheap on updated consoles. I like third person shooters better because you can see the character and you can see more of whats going on. I love to see that resistance 2 has 60 people online, but the whole fps thing threw me off. I wont even buy fallout 3 either. The best shooter so far, and my favorite shooter game ever is Metal Gear Solid 4. its third person shooter and the story is perfect! I'm hoping to see another shooter like mgs 4. I played gears of war2 at a friends house and I have to say its pretty good but nothing to brag about. the story isn't the best and the guns are the same as last ones. no fanboys but is resistance 2 actually better than gears 2? i know its fps but what the he!!jazuzu13

I have to agree with you that MGS4 is in fact the best third person shooter out there but Resistance 2 and Gears 2 are 2 different games that can't be compared. Since you don't like FPS anymore and you mentioned 3rd person shooters, Gears 2 might suits your taste.

gears 2 was good, but like i said its nothing special. Its not exciting like mgs 4 was. It only has 10 players on live which sucks. who the he!! wants to pay for 10 players online if you can play free with 60 people online! gears 2 was great and everything but sorry It wasnt good enough for me.

Have you tried Dead Space? I know it's a great game. Otherwise man, I'd wait for the release of Resident Evil 5 because that is going to be a kick ass game next year!

some 3rd person shooters with good single player are, Dead Space, Dark Sector, Saints Row 2,

some 3rd person shooters with good online are Warhawk, Socom, Saints Row 2

just to name a few

and umm fallout 3 can be played in 3rd person and u do shoot guns in it, and Mercs2 and Fracture are decent 3rd games to pick up when they hit the bargain bin

That disconnect I get is still present in most 1st person shooters. For some reason, nealry all of my favorite shootes are 3rds. Except for Goldeneye, but that's just for that multiplayer.

In fallout 3 you can switch between 3rd and 1st view do not... not get the game if thats the only reason you not getting... it is AMAZING!

i play fallout 3 in 3rd person for the majority of the time...jesus christ your sig is annoying lol....anyways... Ya fallout 3 is freaking amazing.
