get mgs4...best game I have ever played....R2 is also a must have...but no game is a must have unless u already have mgs4!!
Go with MGS4. I was at BestBuy picking up R2, and i told another guy in there looking at the PS3 games about R2. He was fixing to grab it, and he asked me about MGS4. Of course i told him, if you haven't played this yet, then you must. He ended up getting MGS4 which was only $49.99 btw. I didn't know the price dropped.

Depends on your prefence. If you like stealthy action games MGS4 is for you. If you like all-out shootem up war games R2 is the one to get. Or do what I do, get both. :D

Exaclty, You got Ps3 you gotta have mgs4 in your collection, i dont think there is a game coming out next month better than MGS4, get it first, then get Resistance 2, it can wait, you will get tons of hours of gameplay with MGS4
If you tend to not replay single player games and like online experiences, wait until people start talking about R2 multiplayer. If it appeals to you, it'll last you a long time because the community is brand new and the experience is supposed to be up there with COD4. MGO's community isn't as active as it once was, but it's still fun.
It can all be summarised whether or not you know and enjoy any of the previous MGS and Resistance games. I would probably go with MGS at this point, but haven't played R2 and any of those sounds like you won't be dissapointed
MGS4 is the most overrated game ever. No gameplay whatsoever. I loved every other MGS but 4 was a monsterous letdown. Get Resistance 2 if you know you actually want to play a game. R2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MGs4
im also a ps3 owner with no MGS4 in my collection . the reason why i never thought about buying it is cuz i neevr played the last 3 games of MGS and i might not understand MGS4 .. so i will say go with R2 // its an amazeing game
I loved Resistance, and I've never been a MGS fan, so I would say go with Resistance 2. But, it really depends on personal preference. If you didn't like Resistance but liked older versions of MGS, then that might be the better way to go for you. For me, Splinter Cell >> MGS, and Resistance is a whole other ball game...
MGS4 because with R2 I'm getting corrupted data and I don't know how to fix it. Tryed playing through like 6 times already! When it saves it gets corrupt next time I play......

You absolutely have to buy MGS4! Make yourself a Christmas present! Gametrailers Retrospective and the downloadable MGS Database will help you! MGS4 does a good job of explaining things. That is all.:)

seriously both the exclusives are a must play. resistance 2 is really fun game and msg4 is an art. i have no words to describe how they could have made that game.
