I got mine today and have been playing for the last hour and a half..
so far I like the game play.. I like the design of the new chimera.. cool weapons. amazing boss fights.
the only problem I have is the everytime you sprint the screen goes blurry for like half a second.. im sure Ill get used to that in no time.. other than that little thing i find the game is living up to all the hype!

Some people state 60 player online as a positive...I think it's a negative. I hated Big Team Battle in Halo...no structure...just chaos.
If that's your thing then that's cool. I know that they mentioned that they would break up the teams of 30 into squads or whatever, but still...not my thing.

I know what you are fearing, but I have a feeling they will pull this off. The media says they've never done the squad thing like this, so let's cross our fingers and hope it works really well.
I picked up the game this morning before I went to work, big mistake! Now I have to look at the CE box staring at me all day.Mcortijo01
I know what you mean(but usually i pick games before school) but at least you know that when you get back home you have something fun to do

The massive competitive divides your team in squads and each squad has an objective, at least that's for some modes and it's pretty cool. As for team deathmatch, well I didn't play that one but every deathmatch is chaos anyway so 60 players is totally insane :D
I have a question about the weapons in the game. Are the bullets (for weapons such as the bullseye and carbine) still very slow moving through the air? You could practically dodge them in the first game which kind of bothered me...I'm a weapons fiend, you see.Erik729
I know what you mean from the 1st one, but it seems that they made sh_t fly at you a lot faster in this one, actually the entire game seems to run faster and smoother.
I played up to chapter 4 or 5 last night i think, but the game has been sick so far. Lots of variety in gameplay that is well implemented, that's what got me down about gears 2, there's nothing new as far as gameplay in it :? I'm really glad i broke street date at my store to get resistance, tho :D The 60 person battles i played during the beta were a blast, too. This game will probably be in the ole PS3 for a looong loong time

lol I'll sneak into the bathroom, lock myself in one of the stalls and unpack the damn thing!! Then I'd show everybody my Chimera figure

Very good to hear, thank you, sir.
yeah aliasing is kind of lacking in the game and audio cuts out every once in a while the game just feels like it lacks polish graphically it looks ok nothing amazing a step up overal from resistence one but still to me the game still just an average shooter, and i hope insomniac stays away from fps cause its just not their genre in my opinion.
also the stories a lot weaker then the first. i appreicate more in game stuff but its just badly put together so far. my expectations were low so its not really a dissapointment and there are several nice improvments they made. its a decent game.
It feels very slow and the controls are alittle off . Oh and if you are playing on a standard tv this game looks like crap on it .

The story is weaker than the original? That's really weak, because I found the story in the original to be pretty "meh". The gameplay was always fun, though. Can't wait to play this after I get off work, but it's disappointing to hear the complaints.
So far it's awesome but I feel like they took a step back in the graphics department. For some reason the first resistance looked better. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.DJCUEBALL
Wait, what? Everything I've seen indicates that it looks a lot better than the first...

Well it could just be me, but this one looks like a downgrade in graphics from the first. To me anyway.

Perphaps it's the cursor acceleration. I tend to hate mouse acceleration on pc. I didn't notice it during the beta.
There's not a single thing I don't love about R2 so far
Maps = haven't come across any bad maps yet
Gameplay = fast, furious, smooth, tight, not for people with bad reaction times :P
Graphics = miles ahead of the beta, and amazing in general
Guns = awesome as usual, unique, useful - it's Insomniac, what did you expect?
Value = campaign alone is worth the price of a full game, co-op alone is worth the price of a full game, competitive alone is worth the price of a full game; this game offers the most bang for your buck out of any game ever, second only to the Orange Box

I agree with everything you said. The 60 player competitive isn't really my cup of tea, but the 8-player coop more than makes up for it.
And I'm not sure any game will ever surpass the value of the Orange Box.
Ever.

Yeah, I'm more of a 10-20 player Deathmatch kind of guy myself. I might try out some 40-60 player games, but they usually devolve into a cluster**** despite the efforts against that. If it was more like organized chaos, then maybe I'd like it more. :P

That was one of the reasons I think Battlefield 2 is one of the best MP games ever created. Large amounts of people, but it was VERY tactical.[QUOTE="ExtremeOne316"]It feels very slow and the controls are alittle off . Oh and if you are playing on a standard tv this game looks like crap on it .
