umm ouch ? Sony not paying off IGN enough first Gravity Rush getting a low score now Resistance ? haha. Anyway was thinking about picking this up but ill probably wait when it hits the bargin. Don't understand why SOny throws its Decent IPs at crappy Studios that clearly can't do justice to them, Sony gonna Sony.

I don't respect their scores and haven't for a long time, IGn seems to be run by a bunch of idiots that is just IMO tho.

Eh, name a better FPS on the 3DS. Im still going to get the game, and probably enjoy it too.

I'm not surprised.

I had low expectations for this game from the start.

I too didnt have high expectation for this game. But Im still excited about having this game for the multiplayer aspect of it. Its the first Vita game to do it so im more in support of the Vita than the developers. I dont care about the score. I truely believe it looks like a 5-7 score game. But there are a lot of games like that which I enjoy.

Also its still very early in the vita's lifecycle. If this was in the mid-end then I would not even give this game a chance except buying from the clearance bin.

This is very, very bad for the Vita. After a near three-month drought save for Mortal Kombat, having a first-party title and entry in a franchise like Resistance flop is bad news for this system. It sucks, too, because if Sony had assigned it to a better developer than Nihilistic, I'm sure we could've had ourselves a respectable game. I sure wish Insomniac could've designed it themselves.

Not sure what Site I actually agree on now that I think of it:? Rock Paper Shotgun (Since I mostly play PC games) Is my go to site for all PC reviews they dont actually give a score. I guess I like to see what everyone scores it and base it on my own experience when I play the game. Take everything with a grain of salt.

Not surprising. It's got a certain uninspired/rushed look to it and it doesn't have a ton of features to go along with it either. I wonder what the sales will be like.

I'll wait for gametrailers review, they go much more in depth and actually discuss/show what is wrong with the game. This review I read seemed very shallow...Ghost120x

Thats what I also hate about IGN reviews, they are way too short and come off as rushed half assed reviews just to get in before everyone.

Its a review score. Its someones opinion and so many people rely on them to sway their purchases one way or the other. Im getting ready in a minute to pick it up and try it for myself. If its not fun then ill return it within a week. Still there have been many games that received poor-medicore scores that I loved.

I like it. I just played through about 30 minutes worth of the single player. Great graphics and control. It may not be perfect for some of you but i am finding plenty to like. I have not been able to log on to the multiplayer matches yet. Could it be better, maybe, but nothing is perfect and i think this game is perfectly acceptable for the first true FPS on a handheld. It feels like Resistance to me. The touch controls are not the end of the world and basically work without getting in the way too much. I would rate the game a 7 at the very least.

Gametrailers gave it a 8.1 seems to be alittle mixed reviews.

From the negative reviews I've read so far, it seems like most of the reviewers wanted a full fledged console experience. Can't say I blame them, games like Uncharted, BlazBlue, and Disgaea hold up pretty well to their console counterparts. Game still seems pretty good though, might pick it up in a couple weeks or wait for a good deal.

These critics wants too much. I got the game 4 days before its release, and it was good. Hey, the game's entertaining, it's got great guns, the campaign is decent, and it's an FPS in a handheld, folks, with dual sticks. If people keep on complaining on the little things, the Vita won't sell that much thanks to them, and if it gets cancelled, they will start complaining again. Jeez, give it a little slack, the Vita is still so young!

As for IGN, there's no hope for their reviews anymore. The reviews make them sound like a bunch of people who are forced to play games instead of enjoying it. I myself prefer magazine reviews, particularly PTOM, but that's just cause I agree with most of their reviews. Gamesradar is also turning a little stale nowadays. -.-

After playing the campaign and a few hours of multi, i would stand by the 5.5 from IGN. Personally I would give it in the 6.5-7.0 range but im not as bias as Greg Miller or Jim Sterling. I only play a few FPS on the handheld or console and i liked it. It wasnt great or the killer app but for the 10dollars I got if for from a trade its worth it. I couldnt see myself getting this for 40 dollars tho
