Doyou think this game will have a chance when all the mighty games like UT3, MG onlineand KZ2 are released? who will be willing to buy it?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Resistance has got a good name for itself but would people buy Resistance over other games. This is the order i would buy the games - UT3, MGS4, Killzone 2 then Resistance 2.
Resistance will need to add alot of new feature that could boost it chances of selling more games like a online co-op mode, better graphics, more online game modes etc
im anxious to play the multiplayer they were talking about but im not too excited about the resistance story
its just very bland because nathan hale is possibly the most boring man ever
i mean does he have emotion or expression? its beyond me why they thought nathan hale would appel to people. he says a total of 3 words and 'hergh hergh'
otherwise cant wait

He is really boring, we should play that unnamed black guy who your buddy can play when you are playing in co-op. I think he was more important then Nathan.

Nathan Hale himself is pretty bland, but the story behind him is very solid, better than most FPS (HL aside). By listening to the morse code messages, you can learn a lot, but that will only give you even more questions.
Or that famous "Who are those guys in black? Are they with you?" When you stay near a sniper for too long.
Of course ppl would buy this game the first resistanc sold 2 million copies, nearly double the second highest game so far. Plus the game was awesome- im not really a huge fan of vehicles in FPS so im not that excited about that but the november release date is a lot sooner than i anticipated. Not sure about it being set in America tho, i thought a European feel was good, although they will probably sell more copies this way.

Yes Resistance did sell 2 million copies but people didn't have much of a choice for months except to buy Resistance for a FPS game. If games like MGS4 and Killzone was out then it might have sold alot less.
well since this isnt supposedly coming out till november 08 ull be able to buy also those games u are talking about way b4 its even out.
resistance was an awsome game for a launch title so pretty sure the sequel should sell well, cus i mean basicallywho ever got a ps3 at launch or b4 november this year bought resistance

The second game was planned to be in US from the start. If you look at the resistance website, on the time line, you could see that Chimeras were crossing over to America from the north. From that, it was evident that the next game would be in America.

Yeah but they need to do something aside from a location change...
I dont see how the United States could be all that different from Britain...

I didn't know there was messages within the game. I didn't really pay attention to the morse code. Is there a site with all that information? I am also gonna see bout that stayin near the sniper part.

resistance actually supported 4 player split screen where as UT3 only supports 2. I dunno about KZ2 or MGS4.

Or the messages inside the chimeran structures about the Gray Man. Or those reports you found about those weird humans that were hunting chimeras too.
I love the first Resistance to bits. No matter how long I'll have to wait, this will be a must have for me.

First of all the impression I got from Hale was that he was frightened of being in a foreign land, fighting an enemy he'd never never seen or heard ofbefore and in the middleof the gamehe becomesfrightened of what he may turn into. When you're up against all that kind of crap I think there's only one emotion you can show.......FEAR
Second there was a certain character called Claude in very popular and still is massive game franchise who didn't utter a word, and it didn't seem to do that particular game franchise any harm at all. mmmkay

ok thats your impression, but me and a lot of other people got the impression that he was boring
and im not saying that resistance was bad, it was very good, but what have you noticed in games that differentiates them from others - the main character
when you play as the master chief u feel cool, when u play as kratos u feel like a badass, when you play as nathan hale you feel like 'Sergeant hale first class'
