It wasn't bad, but it's very generic and kind of outdated these days. If you love shooters you'll probably like it. I didn't even finish it.

It's a pretty descent shooter. It's cheap enough these days and if you like FPS's you'll probably have some fun with it.

a decent shooter (8.5 or so). I will say that it is the hardest FPS game this gen. normal mode on that game is like hard mode on most other FPS games. this is a man's game. its like a rite of passage.

I loved the first "Resistance". Perfect, pretty-much. Totally advise purchase!

:D

R2 wasn't as intoxicating for a few reasons, but you definitely should play them in order to appreciate the changes. RFoM is also good because it has decent replay value (no trophies). One of the few games that rewards the player for beating it by adding harder settings and a completely beefed up & altered weapon set to do it with! They should get a medal for that!

:D

Buy that game. You won't be sorry. It's probably dirt cheap now, too. I got my copy for $15us.

Was never a fan of the Resistance series. It felt like a decent FPS when I played it originally.

Yeah I would have to agree it's pretty outdated, but it was fun. I finished it. It reminded me of Medal of Honor: Front Line for the PS2 except with aliens. Resistance 2 has a faster pacing, but it's a CoD clone takes out a lot of good things FOM did. The story is a really big change too. Resistance 3 seems to be fixing the issues with both games.

For me, it was short lived. It was fun the first time around, but the replay value was kinda shot and the online portion was infested with the most intellectually inferior people I've ever heard (that remained consistent may I add).

It was a good for a launch title thats about the best I can say about the game, other than that it's highly forgettable and has aged badly.

I'm not a big fan of shooters but I really enjoyed R: FOM, especially online.

There's a bundle coming out soon (I think) with both Resistance 1 and 2 together for $30. You could wait out and purchase that. I'm picking it up since I haven't played Resistance 2 yet.

I thought the campaign was quite long, wich is a good thing. The actual gameplay was average and the online likewise.

Great for a launch title. Its not that generic. It has some creative guns. It is kinda outdated, not as good as other shooters, but if your gonna get 3 then i say buy it. 2 is prolly more important story wise though.

FoM is an awesome game, but it comes from a time before CoD4. After CoD4 came out, every developer tried to copy it by throwing in all of the bells and whistles that CoD is known for (aim down the sites, sprinting, killstreaks, two weapons at a time)

What makes FoM great is the hip fire and weapon wheel. These kinds of things don't exist is shooters anymore which is sad.

I hear we are due for a return to the awesome Weapon Wheel in R3, as well as non-regen health system (which is why I'm buying it flat-outa the GATE. HURRAY for old-school health and Weapon Wheel!!!

:D

The lack of weapon wheel is one of the few things I was let down by in R2, and regen health has made me a lazy FPS player... I respect them for not going that route. In a world of CoD clones, we NEED this sort of design change... Amongst other things in the genre! I really should play R2 on a harder setting again. It's been a long time since either disc was warmed in my console.

R3 comes out on my birthday, as does "WarHammer 40K: Space Marine"... Oh, the choices I face come September!!!
