Gun Violence? Check.
Blood? Check.
Pieces of dead enemies scattered around? Check.
Defeated enemies exploding and spraying blood and guts everywhere? Check.
Good luck dude.
You kill Russian mutants in an alternate reality where WWII never happened; if your parents don't buy the "you don't kill actual people" excuse, then good luck with that
to be honest i wouldnt even bother gettin it, i would wait until november wen all the quality games come out shipp0
You're crazy; it's too good not to get. In fact, you have a PS3 and don't have it then you're a loser.

They're not Russian or mutants.
They're genetically altered dead human beings to be precise.

Dont play the demo in front of them thow. I think one of the shoulders first quotes, says F something. I forget?
Well were past RESISTANCE, and were getting past Halo 3. Question is now. How good can a RESISTANCE 2 be?truenextgen
I wouldn't be surprised it were to surpass the looks of Killzone 2.
KZ2 looks amazing, but for a game that is still in question in development, I can't imagine how beautiful it will be.

The game says that while Russian scientists were conducting biological experiments and created the Chimera. Whether it was accidental or not, I don't know, but that doesn't matter as the Chimera took over most of Europe.
Anyway, that's basically what I said.
Oh yeah, in case you didn't know, "genetically altered dead human beings" are also referred to as mutants
What should I tell them. All I said to get halo was that there was only alien blood and you only fought aliens. I think FOM is a little bit more, correct?carddude
No. Like most other people said, at the most, it is as bad as Halo, and if not, better.

No. Like everyone else said, it is at worst on par with Halo, if not, better

"genetically altered human beings" = mutants
i don't see why your parents won't approve. we're all exposed to gun violence, blood and explicit language on TV. its not like that game has nudity. just go out and buy it yourselfSk8ter_213
exactly what Sk8ter_213 said go out and buy it yourself.
note: Don't go to ebgames, gamestop and wal-mart because they ask if your 18 or older, if your under that age you can't get the game unless you have your parents our someone that is 18 or older to buy it for you. So far the only stores that I know from where I live that don't ask for your age are Futureshop and Zellers.

I know! I've seen R rated movies, listen to music that has tons of cussing in it, and know how to handle nudity. They're fine with those, but for some reason, when it comes to gaming, they freak.

lets put it this way...
for an M rated game I was expecting A LOT more blood and gore...Halo would be a good comparison in my opinion
***edit
for all those ppl saying this is one super violent game bla bla bla...righhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht
you shoot these aliens with a rocket and they fall over. give me a break lol.

"you shoot these aliens with a rocket and they fall over. give me a break lol"
True. lol
lol...I know eh. You'd think in an M game they would blow the @!$#@$ up eh!? hahaha
anyways thats not to say the game isn't fun. It is. I myself prefer co-op for R:FOM and just beat it today with my buddy (thought the ending was somewhat...weak. but meh had fun playing it for sure). I can't see myself playing it through in Single player though, mabyco-op on a different difficulty.

However you do it, just make sure to play through at least once more; the additional weapons are useful and great.
Also, beating it on Superhuman (which you get after beating Hard) nets you the cool Black Special Ops costume for online multiplayer. Getting all the skill points in addition to beating it on superhuman gets you the Skull-Head version of the Special Ops costume
will I get additional weapons after beating the game on medium? Me and my buddie started the hard co-op but were kinda burnt out from the 4 hours of play previous that resulted in us completing the game so we havent picked up nething new yet.
(all I really want is the duel pistols that those wall jumping guys use....they look sooooooooooo pimp)
Ive also heard about the special ops costume but Im not much interested in it sinec I dont really play the game online. Once I beat it on hard (if I choose to) I may just use it as a trade in game for when I get my next fps. Could be haze.

Well they are actually mutated human beings, but they look just like aliens. Show them the demo and tell your parents that your enemies are aliens. Sure, they look a lot more bad ass than Halo aliens, not being purple and what not but they still look a lotlike aliens.

no the chimera werent created by humans, it says on the official resistance website that the chimera were discovered after the tunguska event, which was a massive meteor or something like that.
