im pretty sure the effects on the gun and the flame reflect that he is on the blue team. That or they put in the powerful bullseye in multiplayer.  

Wait, the new maps are free? I thought Insomniac said they were going to cost $$$$.ultima-flare

idk, it could be a new weapon, or it could just be blue bullets to match the team color
