Resistance Online Update

The extent of my knowledge about the update is:

Tags and 40s are optional in custom games (finally!)

The shotgun is weaker (they made it way too weak)

The arc charger is stronger and faster but with less ammo (great balance)

Tags are slower and cause about a two-second recoil (haha for taggers!)

Just curious, am I missing anything, or was that all they changed?

Also, what are your thoughts/opinions on the change?

I haven't updated my Resistance yet but I will be doing the later on today. I see that some of the changes might have some effect on some people. I don't mind changes but I kinda don't like the shotgun doing less damage. They should also add new map pack again but this time put it so you don't have to buy it on the PSN store and make it so everyone can play them.

Yeah...I'm not angry...just surprised. Still trying to figure out how the Resistance patch did that. Im thinking it was just a coincidence, but you never know. I don't leave my PS3 on the time, play it about two times a week too. It's in a well ventilated area also. Eh...glad I keep receipts, thats for sure...I was looking forward to the update too and playing Assassian's Creed when it comes outnvorgang

I play pretty much the same amount you do. Sometimes, my PS3 goes haywire after a PSN update, but nothing like what happened to yours. The internet service just doesn't work for a few weeks, and it really pisses me off because my internet service works fine on my computer, which is connected wirelessly just like my PS3, and never has problems.

Anyway, lets try to stay on topic here. You haven't been able to play Resistance since the update (at a friends house or something), have you?

Yeah, the shotgun was way too strong before, but is now way too weak.

They need a better balance for it. Before, it was strong but slow, and had somewhat of a balance. Now, its too slow and too weak; it has almost become useless (unless you encounter someone who has already been damaged).

I cant play anything since the update. I did a full system restore too, did nothing to help the system. I can physically load/eject a disc, but the system won't read it. No error messages saying it cant read it either. Yeah, thats about as far off topic I will get.

I'm the only one among my closest friends who has a PS3, so they're no help there.

Come on guys. No one has any opinions about the Update.

The shotgun is so weak that even a good single shot isn't enough to kill anyone anymore.

Yeah, well, before, too many people got lucky with single-shot kills, but now, no one can do that.

They went too far. Now it takes at least 2 rounds of ammo to get a kill, whether that is 2 single-shots or one double-shot.

However, the double-shot isn't a guaranteed kill anymore, which I feel is an improvement.

The skeleton skin is back only for a limited time...until the Day of the Dead.

No one has ever complained about the gun before, but for some reason they thought it needed changing and they completely screwed it up. The gun is way too overpowered now, and its faster now too, and the range is slightly larger. They removed all skill it took to use this weapon. It is now known at myresistance.net as the laark charger.

I agree about the shotgun, and to an extent about the arc charger.

However, the arc charger is still rare on most maps, and takes a while to respawn. Also, they decreased its ammo capacity.

On the other hand, I felt it was a little too difficult to use before, (if you missed more than one shot, your opponent would have more than enough time to kill you), but I agree that now it is too powerful and fast.

Overall, I feel that they overdid it on both the shotgun (before it was too strong, now it's too weak)and the arc charger (before it was too weak and slow, and now it's too strong and fast).
