Resistance easily. Good long story, with great online, with lots of people still playing it. Plus, with Resistance 2 being the next big release for many PS3 gamers, you must play the first Resistance.

I've heard Heavenly Sword is short, and from what I had played, it's a good button basher, and quite entertaining, but doesn't match Resistance.

As far as storylines go I think both are pretty spectacular. Resistance sucked me in with all the mysteries surrounding the Chimera but alot of things will be answered in Resistance 2. Heavenly Sword has a great story too but I think there's alot more gaming to be had with Resistance (Multiplayer, longer campain and Co-op).

I think you'll get more out of Resistance. Of course, I'm assuming by your sig that you already have MGS4.

Resistance good story and good online play.

Heavenly Sword has way better graphics, and a better story line but its too short and theres not much replayability.

Man it totally depends on what you like more FPS or beat em up games. Heavenly Sword has a more cutting edge feel to it but Resistance will provide you with more hrs of play with online. You want my opinion, there are so many FPS games out there get Heavenly Sword.

Resistance no doubt. You will be hooked once you start using all of the different weapons. They truly are a sight to behold, and never get boring.

I loved Heavenly Sword; I am not a sci-fi shooter fan so my answer is rather biased.

Resistance. Heavenly sword is a great game if you can find it cheap but it doesn't really have any replayability. The only reason I would play the game again is to hear the superb voice acting.

I think you should try out Heavenly Sword, but eventually get both because of Resistance 2. Both are great games, but like many have said there is probably a lot more gaming that you can get out of Resistance.

Maybe you should go with Resistance. It has a great story and a multi-player that is rapidly being improved. Heavenly sword is a pretty good game, but lacks online play.

For me, HS felt really like a next gen game. Awesome art, really fluid animation, and kick ass inovations to a point (the tilting arrows etc..)

Resistance was good. But not ground breaking. Definitely not boring or bad. But not ground breaking. HS really took my breath away. Even my GF was like wow, that looks awesome.

I say that if you have the option, go rent them both, then decide.

I personally am not a fan of FPS either.

heavenly sword is extremely short and you will have no reason to replay it. so my advice is:

buy resistance and rent heavenly sword.

What they need to do is drop the price of Heavenly Sword to around $30 so I can pick that one up already lol.

I went to Gamestop just yesterday to go pick it up and it was still $59.99 NEW!!

I just bought the Limited Edition of MGS4 but 60 bucks for a game thats 6 hours long doesn't seem like a good deal to me lol.

$30 I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.

Like others have posted, you'll probably get more hours of gameplay out of Resistance, and it has a decent story. But, if it's a great story you're looking for Heavenly Sword is probably the way to go. It really does have a great story, and you can download several Anime shorts for free from the Playstation Store that develop the pre-game story even further.

Donno what game you have already, but Resistance isn't a "Action Adventure game" at all and IMO a pretty boring game. If you are eyeing Resistance then you may want to consider CoD4. Personally I think you should give HS and/or Ratchet and clank future a shot.

If you can, get both, but if it's only one, I'd go with Resistance. Great single and multiplayer (which still has plenty of people online). And the second one is coming this fall. :) HS is too short--it's a great game, but is short and will leave you wanting more, knowingly there isn't a HS2 anytime soon. :(

I have both i would say if you want online get resistance but if you want a good single player experience with a good story and solid controles get heavenly sword. But at this point if you want something good to play online with a decent story get cod4 or you can get a game with an amazing single player and online (mgs4).
