Geez, dat's a hard one... I've never played FTB3, but FTB2 is pretty good, but then so is Resistance. I guess the question for me is would you rather have a modern warfare tactical shooter, or a sci-fi shooter (albeit set in the 1950's). I think that resistance has online, but overall, I can care less about multiplayer.

Hmm. Yes Resistance has online. Resistance has better campaign and a much much longer campaign. The good thing about the SOCOM campaign is that it is fun to replay it while I can't see myself replaying Resistances campaign. They both have great online, I prefer Resistance's gameplay but SOCOM is much deeper there are a lot of guns while Resistance has like eight. Also SOCOM has a pretty fun Co op mode and you can customize your online charcter in it. They both have unlocks but SOCOMs are much better. I think you spend more time on SOCOM but Resistance has more fun gameplay.

Well I bought FTB3 about a month back (I heavily regret it.) but you could play the demos.

I thoroughly enjoyed Resistance Retribution campaign and online multiplayer, so that would be my "to get" game.
