Resolution help, 19 inch widescreen tv

Alright, first off, I'm new to PS3 ownership, just 3 days, however I've been reading around forums, and now I wish to know something:

I have a Dynex 19", 16:10 HDTV, should I run my ps3 at 720p or 1080i? The native resolution on it according to the manual is an odd 1440x900.

It doesn't support 1080p, thanks for the help.

Go with 720p for playing games and 1080i for videos
