After seeing the reviews for Lair, I found it hard to believe that a game with so much promise could score so low. I don't usually put to much into game reviews, but I still like to read them. I notice that in the Lair review all they complain about is the controls. Another review I looked at was Tiger 08, and one the main complaints was that the shot stick was too sensitive, and that it made it more difficult.
I thought as gamers we wanted games to be challenging. It seems like to me, these reviewers are giving out bad reviews because developers are actually making difficult games that are challenging and take practice. I played Tiger 08, and it is harder, but all that means is I gotta work on my game. I'm just venting because it dumb for reviewers to give games bad ratings because the gameplay is too difficult for their lazy a**e* to get a hang of.
I haven't played Lair yet, but everything I have read from others sounds good. Why punish or chastise a game for being innovative and coming out with a completely new experience? Just because some of these reviewers aren't good at these games or personally dislike the controls doesn't mean they should give them such low ratings.
