I'm surprised that people care so much about reviews right away. Those are just OPINIONS! IF Resistance gets 7 then you should be outraged, bu so far nothing bad happened. Tony Hawk game got 9.1 on ps3 here http://www.gamingtrend.com/Reviews/review/review.php?ReviewID=699 versus 9.3 on 360 because of online play. At the same time GoW (please do not take this as system war thing) got totally different reviews in europe http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=69696&page=2 All I'm trying to say is that there is nothing decisive about reviews.

I agree.
It is also the human way. If an expert gives a game a high score - the fans will brag about it. It is the same here. If Genji got a 9.0, then PS3/Genji fans will be saying how great GameSpot is and how important it is for a game to get a good score, but here it is the other way around, and that is totally understandable.

Reviews are everything. The score overshadows the contents of the article. Many people look at the score and say they're not buying it. A lot of people read these reviews then purchase.
I tend to find the reviews here by the Gamespot people to be too overcritical. Instead, I prefer to look at the player reviews (the ones that written with a decent level of intelligence and grammar). I also note the overall rating by the players rather than what GS gives. I feel that the players are the ones who decides what a good game is, not the people that run this site. Plus, does anyone feel that GS is being a bit biased towards Sony lately?
I decided to bring this topic up in the light of Motorstorm review..... Plus I hope it reminds everyone that opinions are just opinions (the home thing)...
People who take reviews to heart are just plain dumb. The only review I pay attention to is my own, because all that matters to me is if I like a game or not.

Agreed im actually wondering how you can disagree if you dont LIKE the game fair enough but Freedom Fighters was a great game Period no arguments great Multi player and a great Campaighn with good AI and a very simple but effective command system. Good game end of!
