I made the mistake of buying that little "wired" Headset that best buy had in the PS3 section, the cord is way to short and the middle is heavy making it fall off my ear. Even when I play the game online I don't hear anyone! I talk and its like its not being heard. I know its working because I tested it and set it up on the PS3 menu. Anyway i gotta get a bluetooth verson soon.

Set your output to your headset and not your Tv.

ok after you pair it, you need to go to Settings, Accessory Settings, and then Audio Device Settings and change the settings to your headset.
