My launch PS3 got the red blinking lights of death last night. I tried everything to get it going (unplugging, remove hd, etc.). Nothing worked. Today I bought a 160gb phat PS3 to replace it. Here is the sweet deal I got at EB Games in Canada: Traded in: God of War 3 - $35 Monopoly - $25 Oblivion - $25 Call of Duty 3 - $7 Total - $92 160gb Bundle was $299 and came with Uncharted, Batman Arkham Asylum, and God of War 3 (now you know why I traded), and Pain code. After taxes I paid $239. Not bad too bad all things considered. By the way, anyone know how I can get my game out of the broken PS3?

You can try the fan test to get your disc out keep trying it until it comes out.

If that don't work you'll have to open up your PS3 which is pretty easy to do.

awwww, you didn't want to pay Sony to repair it to keep BC? I'd cough up the money myself as I still play PS2 games and I like being able to do so on one system plus the PS3 de-interlaces the PS2 games so I can play them on my HDTV anyhow, how sad, the 60GB was a one of a kind :'( though I bet not having to delete game install data all the time is a relief with a larger HDD Slim model

Was going to but I couldn' turn down GOW3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted, and Pain for free. Not to mention the extra 40gb.

I spent almost $200 to replace my launch console with Sony. Worth every penny, and I would do it again...then again...let's hope I don't have to...

Sorry about your 60GB. Best PS3 console ever.
