After finally downloading all the mods for Unreal Tournament 3 and spending a good 12 hours on them I have come to this conclusion. Unreal has buried Warhawk once and for all. I was extremely disappointed in the Omega Dawn DLC. I was even more annoyed after I tried Snarfs custom vehicules in Unreal. They totally blew away the "Dropship" and they were free to top it off. COD4 is still king but it has a new wingman in Unreal. RIP Warhawk you were the only downloadable game I played for hours, but you should not have conned me with Omega Dawn. All hail UNreal Tournament 3. COD4's new second in command. Check out Magoo=Loser for some awesome MOD Deathmatches.
Umm, they are two different games so its like saying apples are better then oranges. Now after saying that, I have more fun on UT and COD then I do on Warhawk, but they are different types of games. All three are great but sayiing one blows the other away is kind of hard when they aren't the same type of game. UT is straight up old school fun. Warhawk is a good game as well but it just doesn't hold my attention anymore.
The downloadable content ( FREE might I add ) is what puts UT3 over the top. Im in love with the Flatwars map. Splattering someones guts all over the fridge is great!

Yea Warhawk got dull quite fast. The just wasn't any reason to keep playing as theres nothing to work towards. The online ranks mean next to nothing and they require extensive play (especially CTF) to rank up. The 5 maps get old fast, even with different configurations.
COD4's rank system actually keeps you playing because you are achieving things.

me too,i just bought warhawk and was dissapointed,only cost me £22 on ebay,any1 want it,ut3 will be great when the rest of the uk and eu get it at the end of the month
I'm split between the three of them. I'm all about versatility though so it makes sense. I'm a big fan of UT and it breathes fresh air into the FPS genre.
i bought this imported in december so i struggle with the time zone playing online,when i want a game all the other players are gone,cant wait till march

totally agree with you. Ever since I got UT3 I haven't been able to get back into Warhawk - it just seems so slow when compared to UT3. And yes the Omega Dawn DLC sucked

Not bashing the game itself. Just bashing that ridiculous DLC Omega Dawn. It was a complete rip off for $7.99. Compare Omega Dawn to the MODs in Unreal and they just don't compare.

I was all about warhawk when it first came out, cuz i was looking for a decent multiplayer shooter to kill time. I wasn't all that enthralled with the resistance or vegas multiplayers, so warhawk was a very nice change for a few months before COD4 dropped. Since COD4, i havent touched warhawk. Decent game, but it needed more.

For me Warhawk is about the warhawks. UT3 is more shooter-centric I think.sandjar
It seems like too many people can't realize this. Warhawk is more than just an online shooter... It has killer air combat that is simply unrivaled in the console world today. Combine that with exciting ground combat, large maps, and several different game modes and it stands up well against the other multiplayer games.
I personally love Warhawk... I haven't played it in a few weeks, but that's because of my latest kicks with Burnout and Sins of a Solar Empire on PC. I guarantee I'll be back dogfighting soon enough.. I just can't stay away.

Have you tried Snarf's modded vehicules in Unreal yet? Sorry but $7.99 for a crappy night map and shoddy drop ship did not merit it's value.
Okay, I have to weigh in now. I loved Warhawk. I played the game fanatically for several months, but when COD4 and then UT3 came out, it had only the Omega Dawn download to save it and instead of re-invigorating the game it robbed me of this pittance and ended up making me say to hell with this game. UT3 has bravely said, just because you are a console does not mean that we feel the need to rape you of every dime you make.
I also do not understand those who say that Warhawk and UT3 are not the same style of game. How are they vastly different (from a multiplayer side as Warhawk has no single player.) Massive online war, with deathmatch options and CTF.
I do find it odd that people say Warhawk isn't similar to UT3. I think of UT3 as a version of Warhawk with some HAZE nectar. I have to somewhat agree with many people here. Ever since COD4 came out, I've been addicted to the gameplay. Warhawk was fun but after a while, I lost interest. Just when I thought the Omega dawn content would help me revisit my interest in Warhawk, it did the opposite. It really isn't about the $8 dollars spent on the download. It was just an extra that felt small.
UT3 is a decent game. When I get really tired of COD4, I'll jump back into it. Warhawk is collecting some serious dust right now. The only way I'll play it is if my clan wants to meet up there.
