I am thinking of buying Rock Band 2 for PS3. I have the guitar hero 3 controller for PS3. I was wondering if this guitar will work for Rock Band or Rock Band 2.

as i understand it, the new series of guitars and drums are interchangable but the old ones were not for ps3

That controller will work. It says in a compatibility chart for all instruments across both games in a OPSM.
