Most stores usually have the disk in the box out on display, and require you to ask an Employee to retreive it from their stock in the back of the store. I saw some employees getting Rock Band packages at the request of a few customers a couple times at a local EB games actually. So to answer your question, yes they do have it in Canada, in my area at least.
Going by Futureshop's site the game was just released on the 28th so you should be able to find it somewhere by now (if you can find any stores open on new years day that is).

then your friend got it off ebay or something... i think it came out a few days before xmess, i havent seen one. i went to eb games today to see if they had it, they told me they got like 3 copys of them in the morning only xbox

No, he got it at Blockbuster which is right down the street from him. They probably still have them in stock too.
If you don't believe me, I could give you his email if you want to talk to him. Because I assure you that he has it and that he got it from the blockbuster down the street.

Well don't say every other place. It must just be your town. Because every PLACE around me has it except for futureshop which sold out over the boxing day sales. But my friend got it on the 20th.
