Rock Band or Guitar Hero III ?

Which one would you guys recommend?

I am getting either one for my birthday, and I'm leaning towards hinting for Guitar Hero more at the moment.

Seeing as you have to have lots of willing people for Rock Band, and my mates can't sleep round on a permanent basis, I think GH3 is the better choice.

+ I can get the updates such as Aerosmith and the as yet un released Metallica when they come out, instead of just Rock Band 2.

What do ya reckon?

I'd say Rock Band, you can do it one player so don't worry about other people.

Guitar Hero 3 was a big let down for me, GH1 or 2 were better, everything new thats been added is tacky so if you really want Guitar Hero go with the PS2 versions.

I'd choose Rock Band but it's really up to your preference.

The only thing about Rock Band is that World Tour can't be done online or with less than 2 players, so...

I still think GH, but. Argh! I'm torn.

The reason GH 1 and 2 were awesome, is they were made by Harmonix. Rock Band is the true sequel to GH2, Guitar Hero 3 is an abomination of a copycat made by the guys that make Tony Hawk games. The same will go for the next gen of music games, Rock Band 2 will be better than GHWT.

But what about the instruments? The drum pedal is meant to break, the microphone broke while GS were reviewing it, the guitar looks cheap, any horror stories from you lot?

I take my vote for Rock Band back.

Wait for Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour.

Yes the pedals break. I'm on my third one.

Because my birthday is in about a week.

i say, if u absolutely can't wait, still get Rock Band. from what ive heard, the drum pedal only breaks with heavy stompers. if u keep the pedal pressed down until you use it again, it should be fine. and the guitar in Guitar Hero 3 is a better, but the Rock Band one is still ok.jrelly101

They do break pretty easily and always i the same spot.

Rock Band by far. The guitar hero experience was getting stale for me after 2. The Rock Band instruments have some issues but the support for them is great. The guitar is easily fixable if you look up some of the mods for it. I havent had a problem with the pedal yet but it is also easily fixable. The mic problems in my opinion are inflated. I have never had a problem. Other than that Rock Band gives you a bunch of more options than guitar hero by far. Online multiplayer, single player, mutliple instruments, forward compatible, DLC, etc.

i really like the drumming and singing feature with rockband. Destroyed GH3......I can now play drums and sing at the same time.....its a hella lot of fun.....especially on tom sawyer...that song is so much fun lol
