Not with rock band guitars, I tried :(, you have to wait till they release a patch for Guitar hero like they did for the xbox 360 which lets rock band instruments work for Guitar hero games. Sony has recently made it mandatory so expect the patch soon...

i was wondering... does this update allow you to play the original PS2 Guitar Hero's on the PS3? cuz i still have Guitar Hero 2 and Encore 80's... i love Rockband, but there's still a few songs on these two that i wanna go back and play (until they become available on RB anyway... like Message in a Bottle!!!)
